My friend/coworker paid for lunch today and wanted me to try this spot...no I have rode pass this place to many times to count, never knew there was a restaurant over in that shopping center. It's a small eatin/take out Filipino cafeteria style restaurant. The people are nice and fast. Did know what to get but I know I like Pancit and lumpia,, so I couldn't go wrong with that. Maymar is my go to Filipino restaurant on this side of Norfolk! Growing up eating Filipino food, maymar makes me feel at home every time I go! It's soo important to arrive early if you want to get some of the fan favorites; the chicken adobo and the wings! Let's dive into it! Chicken adobo 8/10 - flavor is always through the rough on their adobo!! The only thing I'll say is please make sure you eat slow! There may be little fine bones for when they split the chicken!
