I absolutely love Saltine. The main reason I go there is for the happy hour oysters. However, this time I reserved a table for dinner and did so without knowing I wouldn't be able to enjoy the oyster happy hour prices due to dining in the main eating area. If I had known that then I wouldn't have made a table reservation. Still, I did order some oysters, which due to the customers occupying the bar area, my order was very slow. Nice decor and atmosphere. Service was slow and staff seemed frazzled. Food was good but arrived lukewarm by whoever happened to be there. We had to refill our own wine and push the dishes to the edge to make room for the next course. It was a shame because it is a nice little restaurant. Hopefully just a bad night for the staff.
