Today was my birthday and my wife decided to take me out to SurfRiders. I have never had a bad meal there, except for today. I ordered three pork chops and broccoli. the broccoli was exceptional, as always. The pork chops were so dried out and honestly they weren't even presentable. it was as if they had been kept under a heat lamp for hours. I am going to consider this an anomaly. I do recommend this restaurant however.
Sat for 20 minutes watching the waiter go to every table around us... no one came to our table. Talked to 3 waiters, the bartenders, and the manager... still got no service.
10 minutes later a bartender came by and took our order and said it was on the house... this was a lie. Worst service I've ever experienced. Waiter even followed me to the bathroom and harassed me. We've been going to Surfrider since they opened. My favorite dish has always been the fried clam strips.. ordered them last nite and they were not the same. they had a sandy like batter on them and they were not crispy. The French fries were also different. Portions are also smaller. Very disappointed. Maybe they have a new chef. if so they need to bring back the previous chef.
