I was hoping for an intimate ambience. However, there was a live singer, who was good at singing, but it was pumped through the low-quality PA system at too loud of a volume. It was distracting rather than adding to the atmosphere. Also, the tables were rather large for a two-top and I was a bit far from my partner at dinner. The food was good, but not the best. The Donna Laura Toscana cost $60 a bottle, but is sells online for $13. Not the best value.
Excellent Italian restaurant in Norfolk. Service by Sam C. and the extraordinarily talented bartender elevated the experience beyond the fabulous food, lovely ambience, and delightful live music by the singer crooning mid-century classics. Highly recommend!!
Beautifully decorated, exquisite service, wonderful drinks and their house wine was delicious. The rigatoni bolognese was amazing, so flavorful, great texture. Unfortunately what I was looking forward to the most, the lobster risotto, was terrible. The lobster was undercooked, when I sent it back they cooked it some more but it came back rubbery, very salty and absolutely unpleasant. The risotto was also flat and overly salted.
