“We were taken to Carytown Indian Cuisine last night by our kids. We were so impressed with our experience! The food was amazing. I requested a specially prepared curry vegetable dish, and the chef/owner was happy to create it for me. Several of our party enjoyed tikki masala with chicken. We also enjoyed lentils, cooked to perfection and wonderful chocolate lava cake for dessert. The service was impecable. Our waiters were so attentive and responsive, even though it was a very busy night. The ambience was warm and classy. The chef/owner was so gracious and even visited us at our table. I can't wait to return to CIC.“

“We had a private dinner served to us by the 2 partners of Tulsi. They came to Vinnie and Rebecca’s beautiful yard and gave us a cooking experience we will all never forget. They cooked up some speciality meals that were perfect. Chicken, fresh vegetables from the gardens, very spicy mushrooms and of course nam . Everything was perfect! Please go to Tulsi and tell them we sent you!!“

“Holy cow, this is my new favorite place for matar paneer, my favorite Indian dish. We also got the lamb biryani and plain naan and it was so fresh and tasty. The mango lassi was perfect, too. And the little free dessert for picking up was a sweet surprise! We just picked up our order to go, but the inside was very cute and I would dine in too. The location is pretty convenient since I was able to pick up some quick groceries at the Kroger while I waited.“

“Relaxed vibes and an open bar create a comfortable atmosphere. The staff is super friendly, and the food is moderately priced. While the wings were tender, they could use a little more flavor. “Just discovered the most WONDERFUL Indian vegan restaurant: GOVINDA. Super delicious. Super cheap. A little hole in the wall off the beaten track with food made from a scratch by priests of the local Hindu Temple. And they donate and personally distribute food to the homeless in Richmond!

“I’ve had them twice this month! That’s how good it is. Good is always hot and fresh. It’s literally a hidden gem! I always get the same thing every time and it never disappoints. Butter chicken, garlic naan with white rice. So so good.“
