“We were taken to Carytown Indian Cuisine last night by our kids. We were so impressed with our experience! The food was amazing. I requested a specially prepared curry vegetable dish, and the chef/owner was happy to create it for me. Several of our party enjoyed tikki masala with chicken. We also enjoyed lentils, cooked to perfection and wonderful chocolate lava cake for dessert. The service was impecable. Our waiters were so attentive and responsive, even though it was a very busy night. The ambience was warm and classy. The chef/owner was so gracious and even visited us at our table. I can't wait to return to CIC.“

“We had a private dinner served to us by the 2 partners of Tulsi. They came to Vinnie and Rebecca’s beautiful yard and gave us a cooking experience we will all never forget. They cooked up some speciality meals that were perfect. Chicken, fresh vegetables from the gardens, very spicy mushrooms and of course nam . Everything was perfect! Please go to Tulsi and tell them we sent you!!“
“Absolutely delicious!! This is definitely the best Indian place that I've tried in Richmond and possibly the best chicken korma I've ever tasted! The great food combined with a incredibly friendly staff makes Bajra a place I will come back to again and again.“

“Every time I visit RVA, I order the lamb biryani with some 🌶️ and a side of naan. The ordering is easy, pick up too. The food is always delicious 🤤. The lamb and spices along with the two sauces: green raita and white sauce add such flavors to the dish and makes me crave it for next time. The rice is always cooked well and tasty. When the weather permits, the outdoor seating is also pleasant. I recommend this restaurant for dine in, or take out. Portions are large enough for take home or an additional meal with the left overs.“

“Just discovered the most WONDERFUL Indian vegan restaurant: GOVINDA. Super delicious. Super cheap. A little hole in the wall off the beaten track with food made from a scratch by priests of the local Hindu Temple. And they donate and personally distribute food to the homeless in Richmond!
Support them - your heart and belly will thank you!

“I’ve had them twice this month! That’s how good it is. Good is always hot and fresh. It’s literally a hidden gem! I always get the same thing every time and it never disappoints. Butter chicken, garlic naan with white rice. So so good.“
