“My husband and I are currently on the Whole30 diet. We saw that Tropical Smoothie Cafe was able to make drinks that were approved by the diet, so we decided to stop in. When we went inside, the manager, Tim, showed us the menu with everything in all the smoothies, and he talked to us about what we could and couldn’t have in them. He was very concerned with making sure we got exactly what we needed to keep to our diet. I am very impressed with the management and the staff at this location. Overall, the experience was great and the smoothie was even better.“

“What's up, my fellow viewers? To start my review, I want to say that the healthy food options at this business are pretty decent. The service I received from the store manager was spot on. However, the only thing they lack is a welcoming atmosphere. I was the only person at this location, and I'm not sure if it was due to the construction happening around the site, but it felt a bit empty on a Friday. Other than that, their smoothies are truly healthy and very nutritious.

Wheelchair accessibility: Parking was a bit difficult, but there is parking available behind and beside the building. They’re just not labeled as a handicap zone.“

“Visited the newly opened Tapioca Express in Herndon today. Enjoyed their boba and was surprised they had so many snack options!! Favorites were the shrimp tempura with sweet chili sauce and the fried string beans. They didn’t seem very fried which is good in my book. Nicely seasoned too. Their crispy chicken was also good we were able to choose the spice level and I went with medium which was perfect. The chichi fries were great… love the chichi sauce that comes with it! As for drinks I loved the Mangonada. It was so beautiful and delicious for how hot and humid it was outside. Also enjoyed the honeydew snow bubble and combination yogurt frost which tasted similar to a Greek yogurt parfait with fruit. The staff was very friendly, the space is cute but small more of a to-go and enjoy outside type of place. They do however have a high top table if you’re able to snag it! Definitely coming back to try more of their menu soon!“

“The spot is unassuming but please don't be fooled, it is a hidden gem. The sushi was exactly what I was looking for. Delicious and at the right price. The experience was elevated by the ambiance with good vibes and classic jazz to tie everything together. The service was perfect too, and the chef is really sweet. She always greets me warmly with a smile and by name, making me feel genuinely welcomed. My order is always ready on time, and she goes out of her way to ensure everything is perfect. “Great smoothies overall. The ABC juice with ginger is consistently good, and their nuts and protein (heavy on peanut butter) and Pina Koolada smoothies are tasty. The pea protein tastes bad—it ruined the Cookie Monster smoothie.

Service is hit or miss. They charge $0.50 extra for no ice, which is fine. However, smoothie consistency varies depending on who makes it—sometimes thick and filling, other times too thin and not filling the cup, like today, which was really disappointing.“

“My 4-month-old and I absolutely love this place. The ambiance, environment, and design are wonderfully spacious and kid-friendly. The top-notch food and drinks, especially the fresh sugar cane juice, are my personal favorites. My little one would probably agree if he could express it (maybe in a year). Overall, I'd rate this place 9.5/10. The only thing missing is an entertainment center or a selfie/promo spot for young adults, but they more than make up for it with their incredible drink.“

“first time ever ordering from one of these healthy fruit bowls type place, I'd always assumed it was yogurt underneath with fruit on top but wow I sure was surprised to end up seeing it was like ice cream, I got a small cup of the tropical protein with strawberries, chocolate chips, and chocolate syrup (yeah not very healthy of me lol ik) and it was incredible the ice cream tasted kinda like bread which I actually really really liked tho I do think it was overpriced for the size

Staff was very nice - I put on my instructions whilst using the online kiosk to remove any almond products - just in case since I know a lot of granola is made with almond - I have an almond allergy. The kind lady behind the register saw my request and asked me if I'd perfer to switch to a gluten free granola because their regular granola did contain almond.
I was very happy with how kind she was with the switch because of the almond.

Also I might be biased because I LOVE açaí bowls but the bowl I got was absolutely delicious!

Forgot it was going the opposite way to Ashburn otherwise I probably would have ordered from One Loudoun location but traffic wasn’t bad and I remembered it was close to Dunkin. Order ready on time. “The lady serving was by herself, with a ton of orders. She got all of our group done quickly and politely but, you can tell when someone is overworked and underappreciated. To the owner, you have a duty to pay your people more or get some extra staff in there!“

“Haagen-Dazs is probably one of the most expensive ice cream places that I have been to, almost $8-$9 after tax. However, what makes them stand out from other ice cream stores is that they don’t use artificial ingredients, and their ice cream is a bit bold and dense compared to other ice cream brands. I really like their Belgian chocolate, because of the creaminess, richness of the chocolate.

I would say the service is great even though there is usually a big crowd waiting for their ice cream, especially when it gets closer to closing time. However, regarding the atmosphere, it feels a little cramped to be eating ice cream, especially with such limited seating. The staff aren’t the friendliest and gave a bit of an attitude when I asked about nuts, with no clear answer, but it panned out because the ice cream actually didn’t have nuts.

“Nominally a take-out restaurant in an organic grocery in the Mosaic District, there are a few bench seats by the front window so you could eat in. Recyclable containers & friendly, efficient staff with a big menu card overhead that lists lots of different veggie options. We’ve eaten here numerous times for several years, and the food quality has remained consistently good. Our favorites continue to be the Moler Bowl, with sweet potatoes & kale (pineapple instead of cheese), and the Butternut squash soup with lots of delicious fresh basil — our goto for delivery to any friends’ family needing temporary food help. Free parking across the street in a multistory garage. Update Nov 2024 Butternut squash soup is apparently no longer on the menu. But the “Jammed Yam” is delicious! “Love this delightful little yogurt drink and snack shop! Tucked away on the far end of the K-Mart parking lot, Yomie's is one of Annandale's best hidden gems. Despite being a part of a global chain, Yomie's maintains the local vibes with its tiny, cozy shop with only two small tables, and super friendly staff. The yogurt and rice drinks are all delightful, with a rich creamy texture and slightly tangy flavor from the yogurt. You can customize your drink with a bunch of different flavors, including various fruits or dessert-like treats (e.g., Oreo). I love the hawthorn, which gives a nice hint of fruitiness and extra tanginess from the sour chunks of fruit, and it adds yet another texture to mix in with the rice. The rice makes a phenomenal topping, as it gives the drink a bit more body and chew, without all the sugar and with slightly less effort than, say, boba might. The combination feels wholesome but also like a treat.

Yomie's also has a pretty large food selection, including mochi donuts, Korean hot dogs, and yubu pockets. I decided to get two of their yubu pockets, and they were quite sizeable -- two or three could easily be a full meal. The yubu itself was slightly sweet and savory, and it was the perfect vessel for a dollop of warm rice and my toppings of choice. I opted for the spicy tuna and stewed mushrooms, both of which were phenomenal. The tuna was tasty and super rich from the mayo, and I loved the combination of the cold fish with warm rice and yubu. The mushrooms were incredibly flavorful, both from their natural earthiness and the soy sesame glaze they were cooked in. It was nutty, savory, and umami, and all around a delightful vegetarian snack.“
