Bar J chili Parlor is a great stop in Occoquan to eat and chill! Chips were good sauce was good too with a spicy aftertaste. I enjoyed a delicious cheesy, onion, shredded chicken quesadilla that I dipped in guacamole 🥑 we also had chicken tenders which were good, the atmosphere overlooking the bay was awesome and our server Nate was GREAT!

The fact that this establishment needs a cosmetic upgrade takes away from the ambience. They really need to invest in this. The food was lack luster. The sangria was missing a key ingredient...alcohol.
This place could be so amazing. Owners should want to invest in the business or at least clean the patio and upgrade the table and chairs. Improve the quality of the food.

Everything here was okay but not better. The menu was more interesting than the food. Portion size was not generous, but not all that far below average. Best thing we had was a plate of french fries. Two main dishes were....okay. Service was okay too. We would likely look elsewhere in town for another meal. And the proper rating is 3.5 stars.
