“Thank you Cris, Alexis, Sam, and Kelsey for looking after us so well on my wife's birthday. First, the room and ambience were exceptional. I liked the art (didn't love it, but I've seen some ridiculous things on the walls of dining rooms) and the sculpture was especially nice in contributing to the atmosphere. Seating was comfortable and roomy. Service for the entirety of the night was thoughtful, alert, correct, prompt, everything, in short, you might expect. The gazpacho as an appetizer was perfect on a day after we had hiked in the Shenandoah Valley and absolutely delicious, rich, and cooling, but with enough spice to wake your mouth. Next came the only hitch, which was my own fault: I didn't inform the restaurant that my wife and I are vegans when I made the reservation. They would have made something wonderful for us, I am sure. However, we're not extremists. We know that there will be times we won't be able to eat the way we prefer and so we adapt. Usually with a piece of fish. In this instance, it was once of the most beautifully prepared pieces of rockfish over pasta with eggplant and fresno peppers...melted in the mouth. We both loved it. Might be the last piece of fish we eat for quite a while, but it was a definite win as I calculate these things. \n\nDessert was strawberry-lemon sorbet. Yes, fabulous, you know the drill by now. Good coffee too. That's it, that's all. You won't be disappointed. I'm done.”

“I visited the Main Street Tavern while I was in town for work. In a small town where I was searching for somewhere nice to have a drink and some food with good quality and a calm quaint environment, I stumbled upon this wonderful place on Google. Not only was the environment and small town main st with railroad tracks right outside the establishment welcoming in its self and take the moment in worthy, this cute find was worth it. Greatness from the start with the bartender Halston being so welcoming and knowledgeable about every aspect of the food, drinks and establishment as a whole. The FOOD and DRINKS lived up to her hype because they were to FABULOUS and everything i was looking for in a quick stop in a small town. I didnt have to settle for a sub par drink or subpar food that I scarfed down to fill the craving. I had time to taste each sip and bite and thoroughly enjoy what I was eating and drinking, knowing where it was coming from (locally sourced) and that is was all, not only healthy for me but SOO YUMMY made my entire day. Thankyou to this wonderful find for not having to settle.”

“Today my wife and I visited The Dog House for the first time of what will soon become many. This little off the beaten path joint is PHENOMENAL. Nothing from the delicious hot dogs, chili and slaw, to the burgers, to the OUTSTANDING onion rings, to a nice beer selection was lacking. The owner was very friendly and the cook made sure he made everything perfectly. Our mutt, Freya, even got in on the burger and fry action and loved it. If you are within a 90 minute drive of Orange, Virginia, or further if you’re a hot dog connoisseur, make the trip. You won’t regret it. Oh, I’m told the wings are delicious too, but I didn’t have room for them today. I’ll be back soon!!”

“What a great treat! Tonight was our first visit to Country Cookin Depot and we were pleasantly surprised. They have a great bar, amazing buffet, and the staff was very welcoming. Definitely the best salad bar we've been to in many years. Highly recommend checking it out. We will definitely be back!”

“I love this restaurant but unsure how to use my points that I have accrued. Tonight was disappointed because it was kids night, ordered a kids meal for our 12 year old and got charged. We visit at least once a week and won’t stop but I just don’t understand. Asked Alex to come talk to me and he ignored me. Little disappointing because we do visit so often.”

“I love the coffee at Orange County Coffee Roasters. My current favorites are dark roasted Costa Rican and medium roasted Sumatran while beans that I grind myself to use to for espresso. Both John and Rhonda are friendly people and roast the best coffee beans in the area. If you are a fan of brewing your own coffee or espresso, I recommend you get your next pound of beans from OCCR.”

“Pedro and staff will make your favorite dish just the way you like. Every time. If You like a relaxed atmosphere, seriously good food or possibly your not sure what your in the mood for. Try the Silk Mill Grille. They have one of, if not the largest menu in the state. And best of all it's a great place to bring friends for a few libations before dinner. Lots of screens to watch when the game is on. Drop on by and tell them Robin sent you... You'll be glad you did... Bon Appetit”
