It's pretty good food here. When it was open all the time, we used to stop by and grab a BBQ sandwich with some hushpuppies on the way home.

The food here is incredibly good, and it's the only place I'll eat BBQ from. The staff is great and they always get my order right. I'm hoping that they open up again soon so I can take my husband here and have him try it for the first time because this was THE spot for me and my family to eat out.

First they were temporary closed. Now, they of permanently closed. Sad not sad. Awful people to work for and if you only knew how unsanitary the restaurant really was, you would have never eaten there. Karma will get you every time ?????

Chicken salad was floating in mayo, green beans were stone cold and potato salad was okay but not good. Coming closing definitely had adverse effect.

This restaurant has been around many years. We even went here as a kid. The atmosphere is unchanged. The staff is very attentive and food this visit lacked flavor in the BBQ. No sure why. Lacked the Smokey flavor. Onion rings great and fried chicken terrific as well. Hush puppies were very dense. Used to be light. Now they taste floury and undercooked.

Owners on fb page can take criticism about as well as they can keep their doors open. Be aware that it's very likely no matter when you show up, they are probably closed and overworking their staff to hell and back. Beware if you actually expect anything other than a locked door and a for sale sign soon. Such a shame.

Visited one Saturday afternoon. The customer service was just like the sandwichs- small. The side orders appeared to be 1 tablespoon. For the expensive price. Out of towner not impressed at all.
We came to King's after a long time. We are delighted that they are just as good as we remember, if not better than ever. Our server, Matt, was very very kind and attentive. Everyone was nice. The ambience is very relaxing. The portions are generous and the food is great. Amazing value.

I grew up with King's Barbecue. Every Sunday afternoon our family could be found in a booth, chatting with our favorite waitresses and ordering our favorites, like a minced with slaw, their wonderful vegetable soup, buttery biscuits to die for, and their fresh apple pie -- pure heaven. I've never been able to find another barbecue restaurant that offers the same flavors and/or recipes as good as King's. For our family, King's was an anticipated weekly habit and tradition. Now that we're all grown with families of our own, any time any of us go through Virginia, we always make an effort to visit King's. We've even ordered King's barbecue sauce online, but without the homey ambiance, the amazing aromas, or the skills to cook the meat just so, it never equals an in-person visit. We will forever love King's.
