The special was Fried Buttermilk Chicken. I had 4 pieces of chicken, so for the money, it was well worth it. It was really salty though! And that was kind of a turn off!The beef barbque sandwich for $10.95 was okay, seemed a little skimpy. I also bought a pound of beef barbque to go. It was really good and pretty much medium as ordered. There was a couple of nice slices on top and then underneath had some smaller pieces with fat and gristle included. Food was excellent and service was great. If you want good bbq from a family restaurant, it doesn't get any better.
Very happy they reopened. It's like stepping back in time. Everything is clean and neat, but the decor is what I remember from ling ago, and that's fine with me.
The BBQ was delicious and the staff is very pleasant. Take home a bottle of their famous sauce too.
