“This is my second time trying Sam's hot dog stand, and I will be returning. The food is good, I am very pleased with the nachos and milkshakes here. The owner has great customer service (ordering over the phone isn't a hassle at all). If you're looking for concession stand food that will get you full this is the best place.“
“Food is very fresh, good quality and taste amazing. Service was good. Service has 3 stars because the employee who took our order didn't tell me about service fee for using a debit card.Price for food is expensive especially when adding a service fee.I will eat here again but only every so many months due to price.“
“Nice little place small but they make the most of their space with seating at the bar right behind the grill and about 20 tables. Locally owned since April 1st 1972 this place keeps its small town roots with its friendly staff and small town feel even as the towns of Newport News and Hampton seem to never stop growing around them. I had the Bratwurst with kraut & mustard and fries. Very good bratwurst with a sweetness to it, definitely a beer brat. The kraut was not very sour but was quite tasty and the fries could use a little more time in the frier but were still very enjoyable. Over all a very nice place to grab a bite to eat if you don’t mind spending a little more than normal for your hot dogs to support a local business.Parking: About 30 or so spots but when this place is busy finding a spot can be difficult.“
“It's a great place to bring back memories with family sit in the car or go out to there picnic table I love there chuck wagon I got there every time when um visiting Hampton chuck wagon remind me of my younger days in the country..it's hard to find a pack of chuck wagon ion know what grocery store sell chuck wagon if anyone knows a place where I can buy a pack please let me know.. ?“
“First time here, placed an online order. When we came to pick it up, we were told that they had a rush of online orders and ours was just being made. No problem, they were very polite and apologetic about it! The wait was totally worth it - the burgers were great and the fries were delicious! They even numbered our burgers on the foil around them and on the receipt so we knew whose was whose. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you!“
“I give Fertitta’s restaurant a 5 star review based on their crab cakes alone!! I have eaten a lot good crab cakes, but Fertitta’s has the BEST crab cakes in Hampton Roads hands down and they are well proportioned! Their menu is full of delicious comfort foods and you get your money’s worth! Fertitta’s restaurant is family friendly, the wait staff was amazing, and the owner Donavon was very attentive and made sure you had the best dining experience possible! We will definitely added Fertitta’s to our top five favorite restaurants!“
“Nice mom and pop beer bar, but it’s not the bar I go for ITS THE FOOD. I’ve NEVER been disappointed, it’s always nice and hot, and DELICIOUS. If you’ve been wondering if the food is good I’m telling you it is! I’ve been a regular since moving to Hampton and I’ve sent plenty of friends and family over for some food and they never came back disappointed! It’s definitely worth the try if your debating it, man and woman I usually see in there are very nice drop in whenever you get a chance and promise you’ll keep coming back, that food is good ol fashioned home cooked quality.“
“Good burgers and fries. Much better than fast food burgers. Very pricey. A burger, small fries and a drink is $20.00. They keep a TV tuned to sports talk turned up loud every time I go in there. Very annoying. There is a weird funky smell inside the restaurant every time I go in there that smells like the inside of a men's bathroom.“
“Stopped by on a whim today and was very satisfied. Brisket sandwich with mac n cheese and a side of hush puppies. Everything tasted great and the customer service was great. I also enjoyed the music and outdoor area, it will be even better when its warmer out. I will be bringing my family back“
“I've been here a handful of times. Food is always great. They're not stingy either. You get more than what you pay for, and the prices are already reasonable. Great service, and I like the vibe with the 60's product and music decor.“
