came here when i first started going to vcu in 2022 and went back again about a month ago after graduating. their food was always delicious, i think they have closed down which is so unfortunate. they were definitely a richmond staple

This review is a bit late after my initial visit, but the fact that I made sure to to leave a review a month later should tell you all you need to know! My mom and I came in about 1hr before closing time and were so glad we chose this over Hangry Joe’s. The food was fresh as if handpicked from a garden and the meat perfectly tender. We had a fantastic meal at the Afghan restaurant on Broad Street in Richmond! We ordered the combo kabobs platter, and every single one was outstanding. The portions are very generous, and the meats and chicken were incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with full, bold flavor. The Dolma was also delicious—tasty and well-seasoned. Everything was fresh and satisfying. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.
