Great food and that's all that matters. all of the other fancy stuff like designs and good customer service don't matter as long as the food is tasty. Lamb shank with qubali palow is to die for, so awesome. I also got the Tikka kabob which was really good as well.
Sometimes magic does happen. In 2018, we visited Washington DC and on the way home to Charlotte visited Afghan Cuisines and loved the food so much that we always desired to visit them again. Fast forward 2023, we visited DC again, but didn't have a clue about this restaurant as none of our past pics captured the location. The place is nice and big but mostly takeout, so dine in or groups eat privately. The marinade on the chicken is good and spicy. Make sure you get the side cup of chick peas with your meal. They didn't answer last time I called though, must have been a technical problem.
