Can’t comment on the service or atmosphere because I only had it when it was part of a catered event but the food was INCREDIBLE. The pastitsio was better than my father’s, and that says a lot… I ate my weight in that alone. I liked it so much I’ve been trying to find out who the caterer was since before Christmas.
What an amazing time at Athens Tavern! The owner Josie is incredible. Very easy to talk to and you can tell she loves what she does. What an incredible chef. Our server, Elizabeth, was phenomenal in every way. Honest and observant. For an out of towner looking for a treat or a Richland native looking for tour go to restaurant… THIS IS IT! Thanks Josie and Elizabeth and all the incredible staff at Athens Tavern.
The restaurant was very cozy. The food was delicious and well flavored to perfection. Our waitress was on point. We'll be back soon. I wish Fredericksburg had authentic restaurant like Athens tavern. Happy holidays to your family from our family. ❤️
