Benchtop has lovely beer served by lovely bartenders and patronized by lovely people. I tried a small selection of light beers during my first visit, and I rarely drink light beers, but Benchtop's are definitely worth the calories! I was then encouraged by some of the patrons to try out a beer from the Lukr system. Very unique way to serve beer, and it's actually quite fun to drink, especially when get a group to chug a glass with you. I also won a gift card at bingo...
I love the Richmond location of Benchtop. Amazing beers which rotate often. Benchtop has the Jerry Springers of intersections to watch while you eat a hot dog, take a jello shot, or pet some dogs. Friendly and knowledgeable staff as well. There's even a parking garage which they can save you some money on. If you see me in there drinking a Crispy Whip say hello!
Reasonably good beer selection. Guests and I had mixed reviews on overall beer quality. Good selection of lagers, unlike some venues. Food was disappointing. Hot dogs are a featured item. Three of us had dogs of different varieties. The dogs and toppings were dragged down by the almost stale buns that weren't even warmed up and weren't even served with chips.
