This was my first time dining here. I went with my organization (Wounded Warrior Project). The food was very good. We were in a private dining room which was downstairs separate from the other guest, which was amazing! We didn't have to deal with anyone else around us or coming around except our server. The service provided was great (I can't remember his name), but he was on top of his game.
Cold fries (after we paid an upcharge), no check-in by our server (she forgot about us and we had to flag her down), person who dropped our food basically put it down and ran (no condiments or ketchup), dirty knife in silverware wrap. I know they can do better. A Wednesday evening shouldn't be this stressful on the patron.
Visiting Richmond for the first time, I arrived later than planned and asked the hotel staff at the Moxy for a recommendation with a kitchen still open. Without hesitation, they pointed me to Capital Ale House, just a short walk away, and I’m glad they did.
When I arrived, Game 5 of the NBA Finals was winding down, and a few enthusiastic Knicks fans added some extra energy to the room. Despite the excitement, the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed...
