Lord I’ve been working at the VMFA for 10+ years and the Eatery is known to be employee’s favorite spot to go get food! Why I went and didn’t know they was closed! Can somebody tell me why! I’m hungry!!! Is there a new location? Help me!
Truly great food. Astonishing. The general tsos was biblically good and the portions were massive. Walking into the restaurant feels a bit like that scene in half life 2 where you walk into city 17 but the food was truly something special. Not a day goes by where I don’t miss my meals from this fantastic establishment, although I think I am starting to process that they’ll no longer be with us. Solid Chinese food. Not amazing, but just right for the price.
Eatery is a local favorite known for its astonishingly good food, especially the General Tso's. Despite the dated cafeteria-style setting, the portions are massive and the taste is top-notch. Many loyal customers have been enjoying their meals here since 2008, considering it the best take-out Chinese around. The spot may not look like much, but it definitely delivers on taste, portions, and speed. If you're in the area, don't miss out on a meal at Eatery - it's a must-try!
