Stopped in after the Irish Festival. Got a mango smoothie with boba, and my husband got a mocha smoothie with boba. It was so good as always. I have been going here for years and wish I lived closer. My husband and I both agree that the sound of the straw pulling in the last drops of our smoothie is the saddest sound ever. It means it's all gone. ?Parking: Park on the street for free or park in Kroger across the street and walk over.

Stopped by Gigi's while in town this evening per reccomendation of a local friend, and as a former heavy bubble tea drinker, this place EASILY has the freshest tasting tea I've ever had. The owner is very kind and she and her husband work hard for their small business. This place gets way less traffic than it should.Don't let the smoke and mirrors of the corporate chain bubble tea places in the surrounding vicinity fool you. Gigi's is hands down the best in the area ??

Delightful business in every way. Every drink I’ve gotten here is scrumptious. The honeydew is perfect for my partner who finds that other places make honeydew taste like bubble gum. Gigi Tea Time makes it light and refreshing. I order a cocoa tea with coffee jelly and cheese topping that is delicious and not for everyone! You can’t go wrong here and it’s worlds apart from any other boba.

This is absolutely the best bubble tea place in the city. I’ve tried most if not all of them and no one else has the combination of great tea and really good boba. At most places the boba is either bland or sickening sweet. At Gigi it has a really nice subtle sweetness and perfect texture.I particularly like the tea lattes, especially the Thai tea, but there’s a selection of delicious dairy free milk teas too. If you can handle the dairy, definitely try the Thai - I’m kind of addicted to them.As other reviewers have said, the owner is awesome too - super friendly and great customer service.Skip the flashy chain places that are everywhere now - Gigi is way way better!

Honestly, I've been biased for Gigi Tea for a long time, but for good reasons both personal and objective. If you want excellent quality tea, or a really gorgeous sweet treat in the boba sphere, this is where you go, full stop. There are plenty of other boba tea shops in Richmond, mostly chain places, and tragically close to Gigi Tea as well as VCU campus, but this locally owned business is really a gem. The owner is very kind and wonderful to chat with, the vibes of the shop are chill and comforting, and I may be repeating myself, but the tea cannot be beat. Just be sure to ask for less or no sugar when getting actual tea if you are a tea enjoyer :). This place honestly deserves a lot more business than it gets with how good the drinks are, especially compared to some other places. It is a bit farther from campus, but super worth it, and reasonably priced. It's a nice open space with a lot of plants and cool tea objects that feels comfortable to wait and relax in. Did I mention the tea is good? It's really good, they don't miss.Parking: There are usually paid spots available in front or free spots around the block. Regular city parking stuff.

I got the black tea latte with boba. Really deep tea aroma, and I liked the sweetness level of the boba. I chatted a bit with the store owner, she is from Dalian like my mom’s side! She was very friendly. I will be back whenever I’m in town.

Let me start by saying i have never had a bubble tea with no ice. I ordered strawberry raspberry tea with strawberry or raspberry jelly shaped like hearts. I was impressed with the presentation and the conversation with the nice woman I assumed is GiGi. I watched her make it from a tea bag using hot water to handing me a nice chilled cup with no ice. I will be returning to try more than tea.

I like that the matcha wasn't overly sweet. The tapioca pearls was freshly made! There's also more seating upstairs with a few board games.

This place is amazing. I cannot stress that enough. The lady in charge of the restaurant is incredibly nice and all around just a very pleasant person, and she has literally made the most delicious French crepe I've ever had. Lemon green tea with crystal boba was the icing on the cake. Definitely go here! (I would've included a picture of the crepe, but I ate it too quickly)

Gigi's is the best boba place in Richmond, hands down. Her teas are all wonderful (the thai tea, taro smoothie, chai tea, and coconut milk tea are some favorites of mine), the online ordering portal is really convenient, the shop itself is very cute, and the owner is so so nice :)
