Island Shrimp Co. Rocketts Landing

My wife and I went on a late Saturday morning and were pleasantly surprised by the great deck overlooking the river and the views of the skyline of Richmond off in the distance. Service was terrific and the food was interesting and fun. We also had specialty tropical drinks. All in all, it felt like a mini tropical island vacation right in the heart of Richmond. By the time we were finishing, a thunderstorm popped up and the skyline disappeared---and the staff could not have been nicer in relocating us inside. Highly recommend for something a little different than the usual Richmond experience.
Prices were reasonable for the quality.

Our waitress Grace, was such an absolute delight. She alone would have made this the best meal we’ve ever had, simply through her genuineness, cheer and beautiful personality. Thank you Grace.
But it didn’t stop there! The food was indescribably good… Grace, you nailed it!!!! — we got what you were expecting based on the name of the dish, but they were also surprisingly different/better in an unexpected way; and delicious from first taste to last bite. All the food was satisfying, yet not heavy – it hit that perfect balance it was so delicious, I was ready to order the same thing again before the check came, but realized I probably would be rupturing my stomach if I had doubled the meal. I’m still debating if that would’ve been worth because it was that good.

Freddie Kruger could have been our server and it wouldn’t have made the meal anything less than all time best. Thank you Island Shrimp, Co.

Nice atmosphere, service good. Food usually good here but this time I ordered Lemongras chicken pineapple boat which was disappointing. Rice a little cold and sticky and overall dry. Note its served in a pineapple but there's no pineapple in it. Rest of my party's food was good.

First time here and it was a great experience, good food and atmosphere. The team was fantastic- shout out to LJ our server, what a great guy! So professional, kind and he does such a good job. Ask for him if you come here!

My visit was below average. The bar never made my drink so after about 45 minutes later, I canceled it. The food was just okay and the service was slow.
