Lucky AF: Asian Fusion & Sushi

always pretty good. kinda pricey. had to lower the score, there are groomer flags hanging everywhere and the quality has gone down. it’s 20 degrees outside and they have “covered patio” seating that sounded ok but it’s just got a couple shower curtains hanging up and is still completely open to the wind and cold. And who drowns tuna tataki in sauce?

This place came highly recommended. We went during the happy hour. Unfortunately, the happy hour has a very limited menu. You are not allow to order anything off the " normal " menu from 2 to 6 pm. We decided to try the happy hour appetizers and rolls. The pho beef spring roll was amazing. The California roll was flavorless and basic even for a California roll. We also tried a spicy salmon roll. Unfortunately, the salmon roll made me and my partner sick. We decided that we would not visit this location again. However, we agree that food and service might have been better during different hours with the full menu.

2 stars for the salmon roll and slow service. The server was also the bartender. Unfortunately, we had to wave him down for service.

Had an amazing dinner here for my first time in Richmond. Our server, Josh, went truly above and beyond to make our experience at lucky AF amazing. He has excellent communication and hospitality skills. He managed a very large birthday group while still providing top notch service to my date and I.

The sushi itself is absolutely amazing. Would absolutely come again and truly believe Josh made our experience that evening even more special by being so friendly!

I visited a month ago with my now partner and it was pretty much our first date together here.

The food was incredible, the staff were above and beyond friendly and made this out-of-towner feel very at home. My partner has been before and was eager to take me, now I see why.

We came in as a small group for work on a Monday evening and didn’t expect it to be busy, but it got busy really quickly! Our server, Rachel, was amazing! She was very friendly and outgoing and offer many great suggestions.

The menu was nice… Plenty of pan-Asian offerings, mostly centered around sushi, but pho and even a Chinese-American staple, orange chicken was on the menu. Plenty of small bites too, which makes it nice to be able to sip & nosh on their many cocktails and other adult beverages.

Overall, the food we enjoyed was great! Fresh sushi… Very tasty broth in the pho and amazingly tender beef in it too. Definitely would return, especially to spend more time with the amazing and beautiful Rachel!

Ohhhhh emmmmm geeeee!!! They’re ALWAYS awesome and amazing. Service is top notch. Atmosphere is great! The people are soooo funny and kind. They know how to keep things upbeat. The food, speaks for itself. Wife has a gluten/dairy allergy and they catered to it!! 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s!!

Food was fine but service was awful, had to wait forever and when the waitress did come she just dropped off the item and dashed. Food was good enough, I’d still get it for takeout but I would not dine in again.
