Lucky AF: Asian Fusion & Sushi

I didn't want to have to write a bad review as I've been to this restaurant several times and the food along with the service has always been fresh, delicious and amazing! Today, I decided to order my favorite Lucky AF Roll for lunch. It was a pick up order. By the time I arrived to the restaurant, the food was ready. When I returned to work to eat my food, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. The sushi tasted old. The tempura shrimp tasted as if it was cooked yesterday or early this morning. The coating and shrimp itself was hard and dry. The crumbles on top of the sushi were stale and even the sweet soy sauce looked like it had been resting on the roll for a day or more. The food was not flavorful at all! It was quite disgusting. Never will I ever order a to go order from here again. Should I decide to eat here, it will be inside the restaurant. They seem to care about the food they serve when you are actually present within the restaurant. Sad to say but for the amount you spend on the roll, the food can at least be freshly prepared.

I really loved this place! Really chill environment and the staff was super friendly. The Batman roll was pretty amazing!

Our server was very helpful! There are many options to pick from and she helped us decide exactly what we wanted. Came for a business lunch and while busy it was not overly loud or difficult to have a conversation. Our rolls and appetizers were delicious! Expertly crafted flavor combinations.

Great place for food and I am happy to see them branch out into having deep house. We need more of it in Richmond but I really would like to see an area for those of us who want to come and vibe! Just moving a quarter of the tables would open up the floor. Throw some decor against the fence up and have a couple chairs, with a small bar vender in the corner. You may have to remove a couple tables but I saw 2 empty repeatedly throughout the rotation of the evening. Square them up and have it be a sincere space for house vibes, it's almost there!
