Lucky AF: Asian Fusion & Sushi in Richmond was a great choice for date night with my wife. The sushi was incredibly fresh and well prepared, with quality ingredients that really stood out.

The atmosphere was fun and lively, making it a nice spot for a relaxed but special evening. There was a bit of a wait to get our food, but once it arrived, it was absolutely worth

it. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and you could tell care went into each dish. If you’re not in a rush and want excellent sushi, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Good place to impress a shallow friend or date. Bad place if you want high quality food. Service is underwhelming.

This place reminds me of average DC restaurants: too expensive with mediocre food, horrible service, and a (bad) attempt to be hip (any Thai restaurant in the suburbs has better interior design). It is a shame since Richmond has cool restaurants with great food most of the time.

There are two types of food here. Standard Asian dishes and sushi. The quality of both is ok, but it is not worth the prices.

First, you can find better sushi in Eastern Henrico for the same prices. The Asian dishes are tasty but too expensive.

If you have to come here, don’t order the sushi. Just get a bento box. That’s the best deal for you. Otherwise you’ll be hungry going for tacos or Wawa in the middle of the night.

Outstanding. Sushi is very fresh and doesn't overdo it on the rice. Crispy tofu and tuna tartar apps are excellent. Great portions for the price. Will be back.

I absolutely recommend this place for it's excellent sushi. That being said, the place can fill up quick, so you either go early or wait for a table.

Food is very sub-par. The gyoza was the best thing on the menu. Service was good. Atmosphere was ok, tables were a bit crowded together.

Service was nice but that food is severely over priced for its quality. I got two teriyaki chicken bento boxes for my dad and I and one tea and paid about $60 without the tip ($70 with tip cause I know it's hard as a server) Miso soup was over salted and had a foul after taste, teriyaki chicken had so much sauce just poured on top of it, it was also extremely salty. The sushi was okay though the rice had a dry texture and stale taste. Siu mai was mushy and bland and the spring rolls were bland and not crispy. Both tasted possibly frozen before hand. Lastly, please learn how to properly fry rice, your heat might be too low because the rice just absorbed the oil rather than actually frying it resulting in a mushy mess.

Forgot to mention we also ordered another roll of sushi but my dad said the texture and taste was really off so he didn't eat it, waitress was nice and refunded us that part.

Me being nit picky but the bathrooms also smelled a bit and have a bit of a gap between the doors so a lot of sound comes through. Though, I do like how they are family restrooms/gender neutral.

Was really dissapointed cause this place had a lot of good reviews but man it sucked.

I have come twice in the last few weeks, and I was lucky enough to get the same server both times - and ti was incredible! I have always loved the food, but now I can say that I have had absolutely amazing experiences because the staff here are so sweet! The rolls are definitely fusion, but there are still some wonderful traditional homages everywhere.

Randomly chose Lucky AF after seeing the number of reviews and now I know why. Great selection of unique roll choices and flavors, like the Granada Roll with the jalapeño relish (not hot). AND, happy hour specials until 6PM.
