Hidden gem on the edge of Carytown!
I was reluctant to try this place because of the lower rating when I initially saw it but I’m glad I dove into the reviews. Really cool vibe inside and the sushi was really good! My favorite roll was the pepper tuna roll. It had a nice kick to it. Also the ginger dressing on the salad was great!

My tattoo artist actually recommended Momotaro Sushi to me, saying it was the go-to spot if I wanted that classic “hole-in-the-wall” sushi experience and that’s exactly what it felt like.
My friend and I were out shopping in Carytown and figured we’d check it out. We stopped in around 2 PM on a Thursday and were the only customers there, which made us wonder for a second if they were even open. But the one gentleman inside (possibly the owner?) quickly...

Both rolls were huge, but the spider roll could not be physically eaten in one bite unless I unhinged my jaw. Both rolls were also mediocre. The salmon roll looked like tuna and did not have any cucumber. I expected better from a restaurant. I would have been more satisfied with grocery store sushi, unfortunately.
