A second disappointing experience at a place we once loved. We both decided to get a burger this time because they’ve always been really good and we figured we couldn’t go wrong. They turned out to be overcooked and dry. No beef flavor, just the taste of overly browned meat. We didn’t even eat half of our burgers. Not certain what has happened to Mosaic, but it’s way too expensive to go back for another disappointing meal.

Really disappointing,..menu has "GF" Designations but apparently you are still expected to request them. For example our table ordered the Gouda cheese dip, we all start in on it and our celiac friend is concerned about cheese crumbs on top of the cheese. We ask waiter who shrugs and said we didn't ask. We pointed out it says "GF" and perhaps the menu should say "GF upon request" and they were "oh well". No removal from bill and this could have been very serious for our friend. They charge for ice tea Refills without informing and just not a welcoming service like I have been used to previously. So beware if gluten-free!

Everything was excellent as usual except the server was not up to standards expected of Mosaic. We asked for split checks for our group of three and he either did not know how to do it or did not want to do it. He did try to redeem himself later when he offered to do it. However, we had already figured how we would handle it. This seems like a trivial matter but it sours the perception of the service and by extension the restaurant. We will continue to patronize the restaurant and will ask for the manager the next time.

Had not been to Mosaic in a while, but decided to give it another try with some friends at the last minute on a Friday night. We were checked in right away and seated at a nice high top table with plenty of room for our group. The service was good and attentive this visit, something that had been hit or miss for us in previous visits. The food came out in a decent amount of time with the entrees not too far behind our appetizer. The Crispy Brussels appetizer was excellent. Brussels were perfectly cooked and seasoned with a nice mix of tender sprout buds and crispy leaves. My wife got the Spanish Beef salad and said the beef was very good. It was a big salad that she was not able to finish, but did take the rest home - a rarity for her and salads so take that as a good sign. I got the Crab Cake Sandwich with fries. The sandwich was big with a nice sized crab cake and two fried green tomatoes plus other toppings. Feel like one fried green tomato would have made for a better balanced sandwich, but it was still good overall. Fries were very good - hot and crispy and nicely seasoned. The others in our group enjoyed their meals as well. Overall, I was pleased with this visit as it was better than others we had the last 2-3 times.

As a whole, this was a pretty good experience! I think the server sections are bigger than they should be (I think our server had nine tables), which made him seem a little flustered, but he still took very good care of us. It's a cute space, the menu is creative (special nod to the desserts), and it's not overly loud, which I really appreciated.

Ben was excellent bartender and waiter. Manager checked in on us, too. Had fried oyster sliders. Out of this world! Pesto flatbread (a special) was outrageously delicious, also. Open Mondays! Ben went out of his way to make everything go as smoothly as possible! Espresso martini was perfect, too!

Mosaic is such a great restaurant! It's located in such an adorable shopping center filled with coffee shops, clothing stores, and more. It provides indoor and outdoor seating options and plenty of parking. So you can bring a group or have a date night here. I love the wood, gold, ivory , and tan tones of the restaurant's interior. The food is absolutely delicious. Lots of people rave over their bowls, sandwiches, and Mac n cheese. I loved trying the brussel sprouts appetizer. They also have Happy Hour all Monday and monthly specials. The food met my friends and my exact specifications and came out perfect. If you haven't come to Mosaic yet, you should definitely get some reservations and give it a try!

A friend and I split the Fried Green Tomatoes BLT. It was delicious. Since I ate only half a sandwich, I had a green light for the cheesecake special, which was sublime. Always happy with Mosaic!

We have dined at Mosaic before and had been satisfied with the food and the service. But today at brunch we did not have great experience. The service didn't bring us plates for our shared appetizer . The bicycle spring rolls were terrific as always. We both ordered salads for our meal . I had the one with the sesame ginger dressing and the chicken and won ton strips . It was tasty and I appreciated the dressing on the side. My wife got the harvest salad with the roasted butternut squash and the balsamic dressing. She was not thrilled with the salad. It was swimming in too much balsamic dressing. The butternut squash squash was so minuscule you couldn't tell if it had been roasted or not. As the squash was the reason she got the salad, my wife walked away disappointed. Our server was inattentive. He never asked if our food was to our liking and never bothered to see if we wanted dessert. it took over 20 minutes to get our check. Overall , it was not the best experience we have had there. Will we be back ?????

It was a valentines rain date to remember since the service was so poor. We started our experience with a reminder that there was a 90 minute table limit .... easy to exceed because after water was offered it took 15 minutes for the server to appear with minimal interaction other than some slightly raised eyebrows to indicate that they were ready to take an order. The food was presented borderline warm and tasty enough, but quickly cooled - but the restaurant would never know because no one came to check on us until we were finished and plates ready to collect. On this note, our server walked by our table a few times to wait other tables in the section, but our completed plates were not collected. When we finally got the check, again there were 3-4 drive-bys before the card was collected. Recently, I have travelled all over and have been in Costa Rica, Honduras, Brazil, and Czechia and I have to say in the past month I have had the worst service right here in my home town. fwiw, total time elapsed 60 minutes, but not because of us - when I waited tables I looked for the key indicators to move to the next phase and if uncertain, I was in the habit of asking the patron - none of those things seem to be part of the protocol here. Finally, we witnessed at least three other tables with simple to fix issues. Based on the service, now I have a great story to tell anyone thinking about going there. Disappointed.

Best part of the meal was dessert. Menu options somewhat limited with only ONE item for vegetarians. Waiter wasn't familiar with some of the items., Appetizer came out after the entree!! The wine list is mediocre. The Washington State Merlot for $50/bottle was really POOR - thin, watery, no flavor, no finish - definitely not worth drinking. Overall, it was a real disappointment. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Came here for the first time on Date Night and overall it was a good experience. Food and drinks were on point and service was friendly and knowledgable. The overall vibe and decor made for a great date and we will be back.

Meal was excellent. I understand prices are going up but almost $80 (with tip) for two salads is a tad much. I would expect that in NYC but surprised to see that in Richmond! Again, I understand and will still return but from a consumer perspective this is a bit much for lunch.
