Stopped in for breakfast during the week. I had The Fan biscuit. I thought it tasted pretty good, but was on the small side for $15. Also had the collard greens, which were not cooked fully. They were very tough, although the flavor wasn't bad. Service was good, but there may have only been one other customer being served.
Really great food and service, however, the inside of the restaurant could really use some upkeep. The painted tables are all chipped so they look unappealing, the walls are very scuffed and have holes in them. This restaurant would be great with a bit of a facelift.
On a road trip on the Christmas Eve and passing by Richmond, VA. My VA friend told me about this spot, so I decided to eat there for lunch and as a rest stop.
Was super interested in the grit tots and it was very good! Big pieces and crispy on the outside with grit “particles” (hahah I don’t know how to describe it) mixed in with ham pieces. With the mayo on the side, it was great.
Also ordered the crab cake benedict - loved how eggs are perfectly cooked....
