This was our second trip to Pit and the Peel. My boyfriend can’t stand the taste of bananas but can deal with it when they’re subtle in açaí. The house base tasted almost entirely like banana (very little açaí flavor) - I still enjoyed it and we both agreed the texture was great.

Like the people, but never enough staffing. Takes way too long. I stopped coming for a while because of this but started coming back by calling in my order which helped. But now they don't answer the phone (and the Main St. location doesn’t have a working number). I keep trying because I like the product, but am trying to find alternatives (again) because of wait times. Finally, $15 is too much for a smoothie in Richmond. Got similar products in DC as NYC cheaper.
