Whenever I visit Roanoke, I make sure one of my stops is Abuelo’s! The restaurant is always very clean, staff is friendly and very helpful explaining the menu. The food and drinks never disappoint! It’s nice that the managing partner Jason is always working with his staff and greeting guests!
My wife and I ate his this evening and without a doubt one of the most pleasant dining experiences I can recall. I give them a merely 5 stars because ther is no better option. My wife had the Pechuga con Calabaza which is chicken breast with a vegetable sauce. It was tender, flavorful and delicious. I got the Pork Tenderloin Abrigade, pork tenderloin medallions wrapped in bacon. They were melt in your mouth tender You get your choice of any 2 enchiladas. Very charming restaurant. Nice decor. Awesome service. Nice atmosphere. However, her Australian Seabass was paperthin like tilapia. After discussing the fish with the manager he said their sea bass are thin fillets. Don't try to serve it to a fisherman. Overall. Very nice place to take the family
