Perfect place to have lunch after a busy day at the children’s museum ! The Hatch is right across the street from the museum and Aubrey was so kind to take care of us and our 3 year old. The waffles were perfect — and my picky son approves!
The place has a good atmosphere and the sweet tea is really good! Our waitress Katie was really kind and it was easy to make adjustments to our meals. The food was okay, the cheesy grits were extremely oily which was unfortunate. Brunch menu had a good amount of options
We were a little disappointed that we couldn’t order off the regular menu on Sunday afternoon, but we stayed and ordered brunch. We had to wait almost an hour for our order to arrive and they were not very busy. We weren’t in a rush and didn’t mind the wait as much however another two tables were walking out after ordering because the wait was so long. I’m super understanding about a slow kitchen because I used to work in a restaurant however...
