“My husband and I just had a fantastic experience here. A hidden gem we did not know about! We asked if they have pastries and they do! They get them from a bakery in downtown Lynchburg and they were awesome. I got a cinnamon bun roll and my husband got a blueberry muffin. Then when they gave us our coffees, they had cute little Christmas stickers that said Dasher and Comet 🦌 🎄 The girls gave great customer service & told us about the upcoming Christmas parade next Sunday!!! it’s a drive-through so it was fast and we highly recommend this place! We will be back 😊“

“I had an unexpectedly fantastic experience at this McDonald's during my business trip. The restaurant was spotless, and I was warmly greeted by a friendly staff member. The restrooms were impeccably clean, setting a positive tone right from the start. When I ordered, the same staff member was incredibly helpful, informing me of the specials and making me feel welcome. The dining area was spotless and decorated beautifully for Valentine's Day, adding a nice touch to the atmosphere. I don't know the name of the staff member, but she had glasses and was super friendly. I would highly recommend her for some recognition for being such an amazing and great employee. Overall, a truly pleasant visit that exceeded my expectations!“

“I was exploring Lynchburg over the weekend and stumbled upon Troublemaker Coffee, tucked right into the heart of a charming local toy and book store. Walking into what felt like a beloved community institution and finding serious third wave coffee inside was one of those delightful surprises that make travel worthwhile.

I ordered an oat latte and watched the barista work a gorgeous La Marzocco machine with the kind of confidence that comes from real skill. You can always tell when someone knows their equipment, and this crew clearly does. The espresso pulled beautifully: rich, balanced, with that syrupy consistency that signals fresh beans and precise extraction. They use Oatly, which is hands down the best oat milk for coffee. It steams to that perfect microfoam consistency and has the richness to stand up to good espresso without overwhelming it. The latte art was almost too pretty to disturb.

The result? Absolutely delicious. Smooth and creamy, with the espresso cutting through just enough to remind you this is coffee, not a milkshake. It’s that ideal balance that’s surprisingly hard to find, even in cities with competitive coffee scenes.

But what really won me over was the atmosphere itself. Surrounded by books and toys, with the gentle ambient sounds of a well loved local shop, Troublemaker offers something increasingly rare: a genuine third place where you can settle in, read, and just breathe for a while. The servers were fantastic, warm and attentive without hovering, checking in at exactly the right moments.

I was also glad to see they sell Slowpoke sourdough loaves. Clearly they know quality when they see it.

“I've been a regular here for a year now and I think it's important to note that these baristas are amazing individuals. They often have to work shifts completely alone which isn't always easy when there's a lot of people or having customers who don't care enough to understand (and unfortunately leave dishonest reviews out of anger which is why I'm here). The owner is incredibly sweet and makes great coffee, and the manager/other barista is fun to talk to, and she makes really great drinks too. I love this place so much. “I've gotten a couple different energy drinks and get told something different for the drinks. I ask for sugar free products or for almond milk products and get to the front and ask to make sure it was made correctly because I am a diabetic and I have a allergy to regular milk and they have not put it in correctly. So please educate staff of the importance of this Thank you“

“I discovered this location when my daughter was in Virginia Baptist Hospital . Coffee was great but the employees are what makes it a great experience. Yesterday my husband had to be rushed to Lynchburg General and I coulddnt go inside for hours. I drove to this Starbucks , distraught over the loss of our little dog the night before and now the pissibilty my husband wss having a heart attack.
