“I liked the food, atmosphere, and service but everything was so expensive. They have a large drink list but I didn’t think there were enough options that were basic for non-adventurous folks (me). The bathrooms were immaculate. I wouldn’t come back solely because it’s so expensive but richy rich people would most likely enjoy this place.“

“Gluten allergy here and a vegetarian . We both were able to eat here. Wanted the duck with risotto but told there were no substitutions. Bummer. Nonetheless the chef was excellent and food sourced freshly. The service was good. The food and service gets it five stars but they need to allow substitutions. I get why they don't though — it was very busy. Parking was confusing cause the lot is down the street and a lot of spots say LUNA in the parking spot but customers for Fortunato can park there.“

“I go here at least twice a week . Knock on door to get in . To many people want to fight so they have a large bouncer who works the door and keeps trouble out of there . I love this place. Play pool in peace knowing nobody will get out of line . Great people work there .“

“I’ve been coming here for several months now and it is hands down the best spot in Roanoke! The line dancing nights on Tuesday and Thursday are a blast!! They have live bands every Friday and Saturday and they are always so good! Having the option to go upstairs and dance the night away is a big plus! The food and drinks are all excellent! Everything comes out so fresh and hot! I haven’t found a dish I have not enjoyed here. If you’re looking for a spot that has great energy, great employees, and fantastic food this is the place to be! Don’t forget to get one of those super tasty Jell-O shots! Definitely recommend coming here!“

“The bartenders here know how to hustle. It was fun having drinks and watching them work. It was definitely bumping in there and that’s not really my scene. I still hung out because the service was top tier and the bartenders although busy were friendly and welcoming! A really good place downtown with a great liquor selection.“

That said, the ambience was a bit of a let down - there is a strange cafeteria light in the corner of the bar which makes it feel very commercial and cold. It would be a huge improvement and make it feel much more high end and intentional to change that lighting or put up a screen there's Also, I feel the mark was missed on how the vault is being utilized - how cool would it be to make that into a dark cocktail lounge with some bench seating and moody lighting? Right now it feels under utilized. This is such a cool spot and could put downtown Roanoke on the map, so I am hopeful it will season with age!“

“Food was delicious. The service was great. Our waiter did a great job. The decor was so unique and fun. The only negative I would say is that the place is showing its age. We looked up and the wall paper was falling off the walls. The bathrooms were clean but very worn out.

Overall, I would visit again but the place definitely needs a face lift.“

However, we went back recently because we had gift cards and we were plesa try surprised... the food and service were both great. Our server was attentive but not annoying. The only downside side for us was that it is very loud. The acoustics are horrible and it was hard to have a conversation. But otherwise a nice meal.“
