First of all I love the Waffle House!! But this one not so much. Service was slow and the food took forever to come out. Not at all like the usual service we receive at many other Waffle houses nationwide we have visited. It seemed like they were given priority to take-out orders. Time from ordering to food arriving was 26 minutes. I guess are local House has spoiled us.
Hubby and I dont have Waffle House near home so we make a point to visit one while we are traveling.
The Waffle House in Salem, VA has a FABulous crew!!!!
The cooks all worked seamlessly to get the orders out and we witnessed no send-backs. The ladies tending to the patrons were gliding through without chaos reigning. They were very polite and attentive to customers, at the same time, taking care of behind the counter tasks (dishes and trash).

Don’t know how we often end up at a Waffle House on holidays, but it’s always nice finding a good one.
Staff was a little quiet, but overall polite and took care of us. Good eats and very clean.
