“This place is a gem and will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We sat in the patio, surrounded by a bit of rain. The food was absolutely incredible, especially the onions rings and the bearrr special sauce. The service was equally amazing, with Kathy being particularly exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and can’t wait to return soon. Hopefully, next time, we’ll have the opportunity to stay in their lodge.“

“This was my second trip to the Lafayette Inn & Restaurant in Stanardsville. The first time was because I was roadtripping and ended up being so tired while on a roadtrip for work that I had to find a place to stay, and the second time was purposefully going out of my way to stay there again for two nights. I recommend this historic inn to everyone. The owners are welcoming. The place is so cozy and beautiful. I feel at home when I visit the Lafayette.“

My husband and I are in love with the breakfast croissant. Order it exactly as is - trust me. I would never think to get lettuce, tomato and aioli on a breakfast sandwich but Damn! ((chef's kiss))

We also got the goat cheese fritters and admittedly, at first I thought they were too rich... until I added the caramelized onions. 🤯 HOW did it make that perfectly balanced?? No clue, but it did.

Space is much bigger than I expected and there's a nice comfortable space between the tables. The staff were also delightful. Very polite and happy to talk through anything on the menu we had questions about.

I was in a funk from an uncomfortable AB&B the night prior and this 100% turned my morning around. Thank you!!!“

“My absolute favorite local restaurant! Over the years I’ve been coming here I think I’ve tried just about everything on the menu and have never had a bad meal here! Staff is awesome and food is classic American comfort food. Very generous portions and affordable place to eat.“

“we were able to come upon Maybelles by chance today.. the staff and food were amazing.. best chicken tenders ever and the burger and fries were delicious also.. we also bought some local items for christmas gifts.. hope to come again one day soon..“

“Beautiful location, tasting room is modern and large but a little sterile feeling. Lots of outdoor seating. Unfortunately they were infiltrated by stink bugs and lantern flies so we sat inside to escape the bugs Unfortunately inside had a serious infestation as well. We had gnats, stink bugs and lantern flies all over us and even in a few of our glasses. Service was good but not amazing. Several times when we needed something I could see the staff in the kitchen just talking with one another. Wines were good but overpriced. I didn't think anything was outstanding. I thought the caviar was overpriced for what we got. And usually when you get good caviar they serve it in the jar with the lid. That wasn't the case here. Overall it was nice, but I've been to plenty of wineries that have had better wine, service and food. I would come back again and hopefully enjoy the outdoors in a different season.“
