Location, Location, Location. Yeah, BUT....
The beds are TERRIBLE. The food is TERRIBLE. Older place that needs constant replace/renovation that they aren't doing. While its' location is 6-star (the Shenandoah valley is world class), this hotel begs for upgrades. How can they make such bad food? Service is great and always with a smile. But serving bad taste just doesn't oblige me to return. And if bad beds and food wasn't enough, we got fogged in!...

The lodge is rustic and comfortable, with gorgeous views. The food at the New Market Taproom was great. The staff was very kind, both at the lodge and throughout the park. Overall, I had a great experience!

The standard 2 double bed room in the Rapidan section is comparible to an upkept Comfort Inn. But you're paying...
