Absolutely fantastic. I’m not sure how anyone cannot love this food and this place. The mushroom ravioli and the pasta carbonara are both incredible. Love sitting in an historic room with a wonderful fire. Ashley,our wait staff, was delightful. A gem of a place in our National Park.
While on a trip to Shenandoah, we wound up having dinner at the Spottswood Dining Room one night, and breakfast here another morning.
While the lodge building appears to be well maintained, the dining room could use a little TLC. The windows facing the valley appear to have been tinted at one time, and with age the windows now appear cloudy and distorted meaning some panes are hard to see out of. The tables and chairs also seem to be older as many creaked...

Beautiful views from a rustic dining hall. Any and all may eat here, not only those renting rooms. The menu is a little limited, but the food is good. Come enjoy the area, gift shop, hiking trails, and striking views.
