We had an awesome Sunday lunch here. We ordered the blackened catfish, Connecticut-style lobster roll, and the shrimps and grits. The blackened catfish is not for the faint-hearted as it’s flavorful and spicy (which we absolutely loved!). The shrimp n grits could have been a bit more flavorful. But everything was fresh. And the service was amazing. We are definitely returning on our next visit to Staunton for some fresh and flavorful seafood.
Had fish and chips. Very good but not as good as earlier this summer in England Scotland Ireland and Shetland. Those kind of spoiled me. Spouse had shrimp and grits Again very good. Don’t like battered fries—just salt and pepper please. And Cole slaw might be the worst I’ve ever had—dry tasteless—big disappointment. Chop the veggies fine. Third vinegar third sugar third mayonnaise. Salt celery seed pepper. Pretty simple....

This is a stunning achievement for a restaurant far from the Atlantic waters. They serve better lobsters and oysters than I have had in Portland, ME and Boston, MA. No exaggeration. They must have wizards on staff.
