New American Restaurants in Staunton, VA

“Fantastic all around. Ended up eating here two nights in a row while in town for work. The staff were friendly, polite, helpful, and quick. The place inside is small but doesn't feel crowded.
The food is really very good. The steaks are cooked exactly to order, not over or under done. There is a good variety of sauce options (not that the steak needs it or anything). The sweet chili soy was surprisingly good, and was recommended by the waitress (she has great taste).
For sides, the mashed potatoes are great, the mac and cheese I would pass on- the top noodles got hard under the broiler and there was a significant amount of oil/grease on the bottom half, just a pool of it in the dish.
The house-made I've cream is rich and creamy, and they had good seasonal flavors. If you get a scoop just know- the scoop is very very small. Smaller than you'll expect but a good little sweet treat at the end of a meal.“

“Just finished a great lunch here. We settled in outside, Calvin took our order and shortly brought it to the table. A warm summer drizzle added to the ambiance under the wide table umbrella. After the second bite, the torrent hit and Calvin appeared to hustle us and our meals indoors to dryer accomodations. Thank you, Calvin for great service!!! And the chef is appreciated too as the food was first rate.“

My husband, who is incredibly picky and hates trying new things loved his Italian sandwich so much he got one to go. Our server was able to suggest a wine that was also delicious.
