First off their staffing is horrible and unacceptable for a place only open 3 days a week. My family was told the wait would be 1hr so we agreed, literally 1hr 59 mins later we were seated then waited another 15 mins before someone took our order. I had to cancel plans I had maid and paid for because it took so long. Empty seats everywhere and people waiting 15mins to get their check because of their staffing. Good food does not make up for horrific service. Will not be coming back and it's sad cause my family is sea food and steak lovers.

Valley Smokehouse is a nice addition to Staunton. I visit family here a couple times a year and had been hearing about Valley Smokehouse so decided to try it on my visit. First I'll say - skip the mixed drinks. My margarita was sour. Almost undrinkable. On the plus side, all the food was good and portions were HUGE. Pricing for the seafood is high but what isn't high these day. Oysters and shrimp are lightly breaded. Both are good. Loved the steam shrimp as well. The shrimp are huge. They have a good variety of sides. Could use more ingredients in their salad but not bad.

Fried Oysters were the worst I have ever had. Steamed Shrimp were over cooked. Crab Legs would not snap like fresh crab legs should. I have had better Sea Food at Golden Coral just saying.

We drove an hour to try this out and had a great time! The food was delicious. Even though they were busy, everything came out pretty quick and piping hot. The staff were super friendly. Very laid-back valley vibe. We'll be back.

They did a fantastic job preparing 100 pounds of shrimp for our customer appreciation! It's always a hit! They have it ready for 11 am and the service is amazing!

Amazing seafood! Lightly battered shrimp and oysters, the crab legs were fresh and easy to peel. The crabs were the best we have had in about 10 years. My green beans and baked beans were very tasty. The shrimp were HUGE!We drove from Luray on a recommendation from a coworker, and would drive over the hour again to eat her more often.The parking lot was full (plenty of extra parking), but we were seated within 5 minutes.This place is a MUST TRY!!!
My husband and I just had dinner here for our ? birthdays. Not only was the food and atmosphere awesome, but Ashley our server deserves 5 stars !!!Keep up the awesome work guys, we LOVED it!!
