“We went here for Mother’s Day brunch. It was very good. The food was tasty and the service was great. It was a long drive from DC, but very nice to be in the country side. The steak and eggs were good, eggs over cooked a bit. The roasted Brussels sprouts were excellent. And the peanut butter pie awesome! The bloody mary was one of the best I’ve had. Not too spicy. I’d definitely recommend this place.“

“Great inexpensive bar food. Friendly folks. I went on blues open mike night (8 pm,last Thursday of the month) and the music was outstanding. Get there early because there was only one bar stool left when I arrived at 7:15.“

“Late in posting ! I had my 40 th High School Reunion at The Rail Stop and it was a 10 out of 10! Every single course that each of us had was fabulous and the service was fantastic! We were a high maintenance table and Diane took such good care of us! I highly recommend The Rail Stop!“

“We just had lunch at Marshall Diner. We had Rubens, burgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders, biscuits & gravy (there were 8 of us) everything including the sweet tea was excellent. Our server, Helen was great! she was so patient and friendly. The next time we come through here, this place is on our list to stop!! Thank You“

The host Alley proceeds to sit us down to eat. The owner yells that they close the kitchen at 830PM. He doesn't look at us as guest or acknowledge us but instead tells Alley the stop at 830pm. I asked if he was the manager he said he was the owner. It really shows n this situation how the owner handles himself. If you could get a zero star he would get it. With over 500 reviews I rarely give a 1 star but this year it goes to the owner of this restaurant. My fair and honest reviews speak for themselves. As a business owner myself in the service industry as well as I use to own 4 food franchises owners should realize their word and communication is the most valuable asset. “A decent resort bar. The cocktails look cool - especially the smoked old fashioned, which they truly smoke. There’s usually lots of room at the bar but you can take the drinks anywhere you want. Staff is also very kind and accommodating. The food is a great, more affordable alternative to the restaurant and not as fancy. I had a turkey and Gruyère sandwich that hit the spot.“
