“We stayed two nights at the Red Fox Inn while celebrating our 46th Wedding Anniversary. The Orange County room in the original historic building was cozy, spacious and well-appointed. The bed was really comfortable and the sitting room was perfect for sipping champagne and wine at night or enjoying the box breakfast and coffee in the morning. We were not disappointed with our room selection for our stay in Middleburg. Our stay was wonderful and a memorable experience. The tavern bar is also small and cozy but does not open until 4:30 PM. Only one disappointment was that The Tavern Inn no longer offers lunch and their dinners are limited to a rather pricey $125 per person 4-course meal offering since the ala carte menu was discontinued a while back. Without the ability to choose from a wider and more reasonably priced menu selection, we chose to eat elsewhere in Middleburg during our stay.“

“Our absolute favorite deli. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. We’re excited for the deli to expand into the other section of the building. Every time we come to Middleburg (which is pretty frequent) we have to get a sub and fries here. Highly recommend this place.“

“We arrived at the Red Horse Tavern when outside patio seating was crowded with a 45-minute wait but inside we were greeted by a young man and given our choice of three tables in a small room to the right. We were waited on very quickly for drinks and food arrived timely. I couldn't believe how good the Irish burger and salad was, and my wife's Salmon was excellent. Our friends raved about their burgers with sweet potato and regular fries. Great servers made the whole experience relaxing. We felt special even though the room was full within ten minutes when we sat down. We definitely will return, and the prices are fantastic!“

“Premium Service & menu. Great signature drink menu! With a 6:30 reservation the bar area can be energized. We set on the right side in the area behind the wall separating the bar. I would suggest over towards the windows, as we finished, a game of pool started. This did not diminish the Service & menu..Just heads up..Bon appetite!!“

“Stooped by twice this year on way back from NC mountains. Will do so again. Were along on the back patio and had our pouch, Obadiah with us both times. Friendly staff throughout. Great choices: last week we shared the lemon trout special with the shaved brussel sprouts salad. Our server, Lawrence, treated us very well and we were glad we stopped for lunch.“
