“A friend and I meet at Theisman's restaurant for lunch quite often. I live in Alexandria and she lives in Warrenton so it's a great middle point. We both love the food and the hostesses and waitstaff are excellent. The atmosphere is nice.. the reason I gave it 4 stars is that the music in there was so loud. We decided to sit on the porch thinking it would be quieter and it was such a beautiful day... unfortunately the music was extremely loud out there too and seemed to increase in volume as we were out there for about 2 hours. I noticed a few other people were saying that it was so loud too. We should have said something to the hostess but we had not seen each other in awhile. Wonderful place, but people do want to be able to talk and hear each other. Hopefully, this will get to the right ears ?“

“I may be biased because I came at a slow time (10am on a Wed), but I had a great experience. I was seated almost as soon as I walked in the door. The waitress introduced herself, she was polite, and she didn't waste time. She got my order put in, and my hot chocolate came faster than I expected. The pancakes also came fast and were piping hot. One must eat their slice on site. I took the create 8 slices which was great. BUT the slice I ate there was beyond spectacular. The crispy delicate crust was lost at home compared to my experience at Andy's. Reheating pizza is an art, but there as something special at the restaurant. My first experience with Andy's but I already have favorites:
#1 - pepperoni
#2+ - mushroom & onion and the white.
I also purchased the Albe Barolo 2022 and enjoyed at home. Very berry, light, and did not disappoint. Paired well with the pizza!

“I've been going to the Silver Diner in Reston for over 15 years. Food is always good, new items added to menu seasonally, staff are real folks who are easy to talk with and joke with as well. I had the bacon wrapped meatloaf and the supreme pizza. Meatloaf was great, pizza’s ok. I tried both their hazy beers and the Freedom and Founders IPAs, all good choices. I’m planning on bringing my husband for my 3rd visit before heading home. Looking forward to having the Stroganoff pasta on my next visit. Would highly recommend for food and craft beer selections.“

“Clifton Cafe is our new favorite evening spot on the weekends. We’ve been customers since the original owners opened it years ago, but until this past fall we did more to go orders than dine in since the service and time to prep food was often slow and unpredictable. Now we go almost every week. We’ve noticed big improvements since they expanded their kitchen and redesigned the bar area. Their new pull up bar is beautiful and spacious. The new owners and management are great too! We love the evening staff as well, especially Ian and Nicole. They are very personable, accommodating, and attentive. They have great happy hour specials from 3-6 and make the best margaritas and espresso martinis. Some of our favorite dinner items include the crab dip, Mediterranean salad, cuban sandwich, burgers, crab cakes, quiche specials, banana pudding, and too many crepes to name! We also appreciate that they have become more family friendly. We had a last minute party of 14 on a Friday evening (half of which were children ages 1-11) and they didn’t hesitate to pull some tables together in a private nook to accommodate our large group (again thanks to Ian and Nicole). We noticed they finally got a changing table in the large bathroom, which they are about to install. Our kids are past that stage, but there were several times when they were little that a changing table would have been helpful.“

The place is cute and casual, tho the food more upscale. Our food was very good, tho my spouse thought the lamb shank was dry. The chicken piccata was a different presentation - whole chicken breast in more of a light creamy sauce. Both entrees would have benefitted from a touch of salt. Our appetizers and desserts were very good.
Despite reading many reviews about great customer service and education about wine pairings and such, we received none of that. Our server was more going through the motions, offered no explanations when we said it was our first time here, no wine or food recommendations. He seemed rather distracted. The table next to us received the wrong bill.
Maybe our expectations were too high for a more engaging experience.
Still worth trying the place out.“

“What a hidden gem in Fairfax! We absolutely loved Kelly’s Oyster House & Bar. The building itself has so much character and gives you that cozy, old-school neighborhood feel that is getting harder and harder to find.
The food was fantastic, and the oysters were fresh and beautifully served. The menu has a great selection of seafood and specials, but whatever you order, do not leave without dessert! Their dessert selection is wonderful, and the Hula Pie was AMAZING , easily one of the highlights of our meal.
Great food, great atmosphere, and a place with real personality. Kelly’s feels like one of those local spots you’re excited to discover and immediately want to tell other people about. We will definitely be back!“

We started with the falafel, and they were perfect—crispy on the outside, moist and flavorful inside, easily some of the best I've had. The beef shawarma was equally impressive; the meat was tender, perfectly spiced, and served with delicious accompaniments.
What really surprised us, in the best way possible, was the Philly cheesesteak. It was authentic, loaded with thinly sliced beef, melted cheese, and fresh ingredients. It might sound like an unusual item for the menu, but they absolutely nailed it!

“Paul was a spectacular server! We never wanted for anything he hadn't already provided. He paced our meal well and was extremely attentive. The chicken and the steak with shrimp were both very tasty and exactly as we expected. The restaurant made us feel special for our 31st anniversary with a decorated table that they had prepared in advance. Thank you for that and not blinking when we showed up as a male couple :-)“
