“A friend and I meet at Theisman's restaurant for lunch quite often. I live in Alexandria and she lives in Warrenton so it's a great middle point. We both love the food and the hostesses and waitstaff are excellent. The atmosphere is nice.. the reason I gave it 4 stars is that the music in there was so loud. We decided to sit on the porch thinking it would be quieter and it was such a beautiful day... unfortunately the music was extremely loud out there too and seemed to increase in volume as we were out there for about 2 hours. I noticed a few other people were saying that it was so loud too. We should have said something to the hostess but we had not seen each other in awhile. Wonderful place, but people do want to be able to talk and hear each other. Hopefully, this will get to the right ears ?“

“Our Monday night dinner group has come back here multiple times. The smell is wonderful immediately when you walk in. The host and all staff there are super friendly and always fun to chat with. Our waiter had our whole table laughing every time we engaged with him. Everyone's orders were perfectly cooked, nice sized portions and came out very quickly. I personally love the Malaysian Iced Coffee, Roti Canai and Chicken Satay. Our group had noodle dishes, beef, lamb, seafood....all was wonderful. The flavors are vivid and bright, delicious and clearly comfort food. I promise you, you'll enjoy your trip here. Great food for everyone. Very nice open atmosphere and every table seemed very content.“

“Came here for dinner with friends and everything from food to service was impeccable! The portion sizes are huge, to the extent I couldn’t finish the sando that I ordered. My friends ate half of their katsu. The breading on the meats were super flaky and seasoned well, not dry or tasteless as seems defacto for many katsu preparations. We also got curry on the side, which was well curated with chunks of meat and veggies. I was honestly so surprised because it tasted like the curry specialty hotspots in the northeast where I moved from. Sam was our waiter and checked in on us multiple times throughout our meal. He was super kind, personable, and just a fun dude that made our dinner experience better. An older gentleman, who I had the impression was the owner or manager, stopped by to check in as well.

Overall, a great place for top tier katsu. The difference in ambience during the day and evening also makes it a great choice for casual dining, date nights, and drinks with friends. Highly recommend!“

“It tastes and looks like they imported a Korean restaurant straight from S Korea! Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. We got the two more expensive items on the menu but overall prices were great and portions were generous. The waitresses were so sweet! So happy we found this spot. We will be visiting again and we live an hour and a half away.“

“Walking into the Lotte food court, I could immediately smell the katsu cooking at Hikari Don Katsu--and it was impossible not to follow the scent. I'm a huge fan of both katsu and curry, so after hearing this spot does both well, I had to give it a try.

The katsu tasted comforting and homemade, like someone put real care into every bite. It was crispy, juicy, and especially good with the sauce, which had a subtle sweetness and buttery richness without being too heavy.

The curry leaned more Korean-style than Japanese-style to me, but honestly, it was so good. It had a nice spicy kick, lots of flavor, and was filling enough that I could happily eat a whole bowl of the curry by itself.
Overall, I was really impressed with Hikari Don Katsu. Great katsu, great curry, and definitely a place I'll be coming back to when I'm craving something warm and satisfying.“

“California Taco food truck in Alexandria is a must-try if you haven't been yet. I had the chicken quesadilla and it was a straight 5/5. The tortilla was perfectly toasted and crispy on the outside, but still soft inside, stuffed with a ton of juicy, well-seasoned chicken and cheese that was fully melted all the way through. Nothing skimpy or super greasy about it, just really well made. What really stood out was the service. It was extremely fast - I barely had time to stand around after ordering before they were calling my name. And you can tell it's all freshly made, not sitting under a heat lamp. Hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Today was actually my second time getting the quesadilla and I was wondering if the first time was just a fluke. It was not. It was just as good as the first time I got it, still a 5/5. Super consistent, which is rare for a lot of spots/food trucks. If you are looking for quick, delicious food in Alexandria, I highly recommend California Taco food truck. Great value, fast friendly service, and that quesadilla alone is worth the stop.“

“I’ve been coming here for years, it’s my favorite pho spot out of everyone in the area i’ve tried. Out of the many years coming to this location i have never once had a single issue with the food or staff. The broth is amazing and so flavorful always quiet not packed. And the staff is amazing i love coming here when i want a quick delicious bowl and will be continuing to come here for the foreseeable future. Anyone reading this I advise your give the spot a try.“

The beef bulgogi is incredibly savory and tender, and the takoyaki is the perfect crispy bite to start with. But the real star of the show is the spicy Lab No. 1 sushi, it’s my absolute favorite roll and delivers the perfect amount of heat. Huge thanks to our server, Mika, who was incredibly nice and made sure we had everything we needed. 10/10!“

He helped me and another couple get set up with the wonder app and gave recommendations on which foods to try. I highly recommend the wonder Reston location and if you get a chance to meet Labrell he will put a smile on your face and brighten your day!!“

“We came here for the first time and had a great experience. The appetizer dishes, army stew and beef ribs are all delicious. This is my first time eating marinated crabs (both soy bean sauce and spicy sauce). It feels like jelly-ish in texture, and the staff recommended to eat with rice. I preferred the spicy sauce one over the soy bean sauce one since the soy bean sauce one left a weird texture on my tooth for a while. Although marinated crabs are not my cup of tea, I can see why some Koreans like it. Overall, it’s a really nice Korean family restaurant!“

“The best Korean restaurant in the area(probably best in VA)!
It is hard to find good Korean restaurant where main and side dishes are good, but this is the one. I eat here many times when I am craving for authentic Korean foods.all the servers are kind and know what they are doing.
This is Korean BBQ place with other Korean dishes, it is pricy like other BBQ places, but I think it is worth my money.
Only thing I do not like is, when you are there at a peak time, you have to wait. Also it can be very loud like typical Korean BBQ just like in Korea with people drinking alcohols but no biggie.“

“My family and I stopped by while traveling thru town. We ordered Bulgogi and Dak Kalgooksoo. Their Banchan were flavorful with the right balance of spice and heat. Entrée portions are generous. Our server was helpful and very nice. We were pretty happy to find this restaurant.“

“Literally the best homestyle Korean food I've ever had hands down. You can tell how you'll enjoy the rest of the meal based on how well the banchan are prepared. Best banchan I've ever had, best kimchi I've ever had.... I can go on and on. I wish I could replicate the same taste at home. This place ruined all other homestyle Korean food restaurants for me.

I don't really understand the negative reviews. I was skeptical with the 4 stars at first but then the food blew me away!! I wish this place was closer to me .. I'm so hungry writing this review already

“More like 3.5 stars. The prices are great (by today’s standards) for the portion size. Wait times are incredibly short. And I was surprised by how much protein (shrimp) they gave me in my Bento box. But the food isn’t very flavorful and it’s quite greasy. Also, there weren’t very many vegetables included, and I didn’t get much sauce in my box. I’m not too upset about the taste because of the price, so I guess you get what you pay for.“

“Group of 5 went out bowling quite late, decided to stop and find a place to eat. Hit up this I-Hop, lowk the food was crap but out waiter Chad Richardson made the whole night, complimenting our whole group, very inviting and friendly. Had a blast and would 100% come back to hangout and grab some drinks. If any managers see this, please give this man a raise, insane customer service and very inviting and friendly! 5/5“
