The Winery at Bull Run Reviews
Visited for the first time after living in the area the past five years. We came on 11/9 to celebrate a birthday. Literally from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, I’ve never felt more unwanted at an establishment. We drink a lot and have frequented many wineries and breweries. My friend picked me up from the airport and am not even an hour later we were here. Paolah was a great wine server and host. She explained the wines to a T and she was a great time! Highly recommend! Keep her!
Despite being next door to the “dog trail” at the battlefields, they don’t allow them on property. Got the kids unloaded and walked inside just to turn right around. No signs at the front door stating their rules, but saw a single sign in the middle of the lot when leaving. Don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

The Winery at Bull Run offers a charming tasting experience with scenic views of the horses and vineyard. The restaurant provides ample picnic space, making it an ideal spot for a sunny day. The 6-wine tasting, featuring 3 whites and 3 reds, is a highlight. The service is quick and informative, with staff happy to explain the wines in detail. While the wine prices may add up for solo visitors, the restaurant's helpful staff and great-tasting wines make it a worthwhile experience.
The winery’s history tour is a popular attraction, with a knowledgeable and fun guide. Visitors can try a variety of wines, including a sparkling white, Chardonnay, and the delicious Still Rosé, while enjoying the historical vibe. The picnic tables in the adult section may not be the most comfortable, as they are situated on a hill and can be somewhat slanted.
The winery hosts events, which offer a delightful experience. Visitors have enjoyed the Haunted Wine Tour, which features real actors and great wine, making it a memorable event. The location is easy to access, with ample parking, and the staff provides excellent service, even during busy times. The music is played at the perfect volume, allowing guests to enjoy the performance while still being able to converse comfortably.
The Winery at Bull Run is known for its beautiful location and good wine selection. Even those who are typically skeptical of Virginia wines may be pleasantly surprised by the Chardonnay, primarily aged in stainless steel, and the Viognier. The wines are reasonably priced, and the winery offers a variety of food options, such as cheeses, meats, crackers, and pizzas. The winery itself is beautiful, with plenty of seating and super chill vibes. There was a live band playing while guests were there, adding to the atmosphere. Some guests were dancing, creating a fun environment. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and fun, explaining the wines beautifully and sharing interesting facts. Visitors can purchase a bottle of the Norton or Delaney, both delightful wines. The winery offers great white and red wine selections and has events like line dancing and food trucks a few days a week.
