The chicken katsu with curry was delicious and super filling since they gave a large portion! Nice staff as well!
Walking into the Lotte food court, I could immediately smell the katsu cooking at Hikari Don Katsu--and it was impossible not to follow the scent. I'm a huge fan of both katsu and curry, so after hearing this spot does both well, I had to give it a try.
The katsu tasted comforting and homemade, like someone put real care into every bite. It was crispy, juicy, and especially good with the sauce, which had a subtle sweetness and buttery richness without being too heavy.

Hikari Don Katsu, a Japanese eatery located in Centreville, offers a variety of noodle dishes, bowls, and katsu sets. The Chicken Katsu with Curry was generously filled with veggies and served with miso soup, salad, and tonkatsu sauce. The menu also includes options like Pork Katsu, which is fried perfectly and not too heavy, paired with a great dipping sauce and a shaved radish/cabbage mix. The Salmon Poke bowl comes highly recommended for its generous portion of salmon. Customers have found the curry donkatsu solid, but they especially love the beef bowl, noting its excellent marinade and seasoning, along with the addition of burdock that elevates the taste. Prices are reasonable, with dishes ranging from $13-15. The friendly service, pleasant and clean atmosphere, and ample parking in the shared plaza lot make dining at Hikari a very enjoyable experience.
