“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.“

“Amazing food, came all the way from Maryland have eaten Desi food from Miami New York Delaware PA DC but the food I had was the closest in taste to Lahore. I tried the Lahori Nashta and beef nehari and believe me it was delicious. highly recommended and a must try“

“Food tastes great and there's a decent amount of options. The place itself is nice with the store being clean and maintained well. The accessibility could be a little better though cause pathways are fairly narrow and the tables/chairs are very high and kinda small.“

Definitely gonna have to come back and try literally everything.. the portion size of the plates coming out the kitchen on top of the amazing smells like fresh baked naan, I already told the owner to expect me weekly!! “This place has been around for ages and we’ve been going here since we were kids. The food is authentic (especially the chaat papri and mithai) and the staff is always warm and welcoming. Yes, it might need a bit of an update but keep in mind it’s been around forever. Great place!“

“We hired Akmal catering in Dec 2025 for June 2026 wedding. We visited their Springfield store front for food tasting and was wowed. Everything was delicious with true Pakistani flavor. We also loved the care to detail and was told they pack food at the end of ceremony for family as we all know we don’t eat when all is in play.
We just had our event 2 weeks ago and my guests are still raving about the food. We were able to customize the menu, price was amazing and there was enough food for our 200 guests. We never had to worry about quantity or quality. I highly recommend Akmal’s and will come back definitely. Beliw are very few pictures I was able to gather. May ALLAH swt give Barak to your business. “Bestest food and service we received till now. I along with my family visited on Sunday afternoon because we were craving for some desi delight. Restaurant had limited seating area but the vibe was good. We were immediately greeted by the lady at the counter. She was very friendly and innocent. She recommended us chicken karahi and keema nan. The taste was spot on. We were amazed by the hospitality. Surely will return. 10/10 for customer service for that lady and for the food.“

“We ordered a variety of food. For starters we loved the veggie samosas with The chutney sauce. The rice is flavored with cinnamon and it will not disappoint. The chicken kabob boneless platter is tender and full of flavor. Our favorite kabob was the chicken with green chili skewer. The rice pudding was so on point we ordered an extra side to go.“

“A genuine Pakistani cuisine, the food was fresh and appealing. However the place was super crowded and gave a look of any charity free dinner place. Customers pay for food and environment. Environment was terribly bad, as restaurant tries to host more than their capacity. Private family or friends seating was not available. You have to sit with general public, the long tables were arranged for everyone to sit with others. Prayers after iftar were hosted outside restaurant when temperatures were in negative. The prayers should have been inside the restaurant walls. A bad display for non believers, earning in one sitting was more important and rest everything was set a side. Bad!!@“
