My wife and I have frequently eaten (and loved) breakfast or lunch at The Dogwood Restaurant, but today was our first attempt at dinner.
As the sign said, we seated ourselves. The dining room (not the bar side) was very quiet; there was one other couple dining. We both ordered Coke’s to drink.
My wife ordered a naked hamburger (no bun or toppings) with french fries. I ordered one of the Friday specials—a Taco Salad....

Fried potatoes were a nice touch, definitely not cooked in a deep fryer. Biscuit was good, sausage gravy was a little clumpy. Having to wait 15 minutes to get a check, not a good look.

Service was great, food was good (bacon cooked a little longer), and atmosphere was busy. Not busy or loud enough where we couldn’t hear each other talk but it was Saturday and the place was packed so I understand it will be noisy.
Overall I thought it was good food for the price we paid and I wouldn’t definitely come back again to try the dinner/lunch with the wifey
