Visited this bar after work with my friends , food was disappointing the fish was hard i waited over a hour for it bc they’re kitchen was baked up, the fish was fried so hard i couldn’t eat it, 6 days later they took extra money off my card and i haven’t been to their establishment ! Bartender was rude as well i asked For a double shot and she only gave me a shot , cups were filthy i didnt Even want to drink out of the cup best thing was outside seating sucks im afraid to go back bc ill never get to enjoy it

Went around 9:00 PM, expecting to have a nice dinner, only to be hit with a cover charge just to get in. That should have been the first red flag. The place was nearly empty only about four or five people at the bar so I figured service wouldn’t be an issue. I was wrong.

I ordered a drink, and after waiting for 15/20 minutes, I still didn’t have anything in my hand. The bartender made some excuse about needing a magnet to pour from their odd draft system that fills the glass from the bottom (doesn't give you a correct pour absolutely no head). I get that every place has its quirks, but in a bar with multiple workers and barely any customers, there’s no reason a simple drink order should take that long. Even worse, I wasn’t offered an alternative or given an update I just stood there like an jerk off waiting for something that never came.

For a place that charges a cover just to eat dinner, I expected at least basic service. Instead, I left unimpressed and without a drink. Definitely won’t be back.

Shout out to Tuan , very helpful and friendly bartender. We enjoyed the food, tasted really authentic Filipino food, we ordered chicharon bulaklak , it tasted so crisp and lest fatty 😋 and the tapsilog, they do give a hefty serving, it was flavorful and the garlic rice was really good.

I arrived at 2:30pm after a long day at work, I have to be at work at 5am, and after a doctor’s appointment. The reviews for food were great, some said the service was a little slow, but it’s right next to my house, so I stopped. The restaurant was empty with one couple already sitting alone eating their food.

I placed my order and signed my receipt at 2:39pm. I didn’t leave until 3:35pm. I asked at the 50 minute mark if there was an issue, as it has been almost an hour.

The food was delicious, so I am giving 4 stars. I would never order anything online, and I don’t plan to go back while hungry. Also, they add a 20% gratuity automatically. I asked them to remove it l due to my food being pickup. Glad I tipped only $5, as the meal nearly $40.

Nice chill vibe. The music is a hit or miss. If you like to dance and drink and play games. Go here. There was a fee to get in after 10pm

Friends and I went here for Halloween open mic, food was good but took over an HOUR to receive. Music was played way too loud, could barely hear each other over it. And when the bill came, they charged us for something we didn't even order! And when we asked for a refund, they only refunded the food item and tax, but kept the ENTIRE tip (percentage including the food item we never ordered!). 20% automatic gratuity is insane, and very clear its only added because no one would tip otherwise.

Service is so slow. My friends and I waited for almost for two hours for our foods. I hope next time you have an event you have more server too.

Just letting y’all know, this isn’t a resto bar, it’s a club with tables around. The bar part of it is not separated from the restaurant part. So, if you’re filipino and looking for somewhere to dine, this is not it.

Food wasn’t too bad, but the server couldn’t even hear over their super loud music to get our order right. Buko juice is bought from the store and priced at 4 dollars.

Speaking of the music, no filipino music was played at all, like what? Bouncer at the door was downright rude charging $5 at the door for just the guys to get in, making fun of my friend who just got here from the Philippines.

No hate but the ramen event missed the mark. Would not repeat or recommend. I'm willing to go back for the Filipino food I hear is good.

So I was at the door of Buko Restaurant & Bar in Virginia Beach, Virginia where I intended on performing last night. They have open mics weekly. 
The security guard asked me if I was there for the open mic and was I performing. I said yes to both questions. He says “I’m not going to say anything about your outfit… but we have a dress code and you have to look presentable.” …… Sir, that’s saying something about my outfit ?
He was going to let me in but he completely screwed the energy up & with my social anxiety I was going to be thinking about my outfit for the rest of the night so I LEFT! (& will never perform or spend money there ever again)…
This is the scandalous outfit. I had the tie dye jacket on and everything ?
Is this outfit not appropriate for a bar?
