Chicho's Pizza Reviews
My second visit to Chichos was definitely more than expected. The bar staff were amazing and prompt and correct with drink selections. Kelsey and Jessica were without doubt the best bartenders in Virginia Beach. The owner, Matt Potter, was very helpful. But Kelsey stands out among everyone as a leader and a people person with her personality and bright smile ! Chichos 29th street is the place to go for good food and drinks in Virginia Beach !
Good service. Too noisy. Waitress didn’t take off the 15% coupon I showed her after signing up for the rewards. Still want you to give a tip even after they already added a gratuity charge to my bill. Since she didn’t take off the coupon I considered what it would’ve saved me as her tip. Might consider going to a different location next time.
Best Pizza in town! Great atmosphere, great patio, great bands on live music nights!

Chicho's Pizza is a restaurant that offers a variety of pizza options and a lively atmosphere near the beach. Customers praise the great service, with one reviewer highlighting a late-night visit where the staff made a personal pizza after they ran out of slices, calling the staff super sweet and the pizza "fire." Another guest appreciated the quick and delicious lunch special, offering two slices and a drink for $7, with fast service that made for a satisfying meal. The restaurant is conveniently located and offers the option to order online or through the app to have pizza ready upon arrival.
However, not all experiences were perfect. Some reviews mention slow service, especially when staff are new or overwhelmed, leading to long wait times and lack of updates about orders. One customer noted that their order was not available and received poor service until a manager stepped in, who compensated the food but not the drinks, expressing that better staff training is needed.
Food quality also received mixed reviews. While some found the pizza to be fresh, with a nice crust and plenty of toppings, others were disappointed by mediocre ingredients and soggy pizza with toppings that fell off. One reviewer mentioned that the pizza was garlicky and lacked flavor, and felt that other options, like Domino's or local stores, might offer better quality.
Despite these varied experiences, Chicho's remains a popular spot for pizza and casual dining, especially for those looking for quick bites or a fun atmosphere near the beach.
