“I try to avoid the mainstream big businesses for my caffeine consumption, and Three Ships Coffees was one that showed up on my search for coffee near Oceana when we were back in town for a visit — I really loved the atmosphere and friendliness of the two young ladies working the morning we came in. Very quick turnaround time between ordering and having our coffees. We will definitely stop back in next time we’re back in Va Beach!“
“I don’t usually do reviews after just one visit, but I tried their cyclops coffee today and am SO glad I did! I usually hesitate to try the “fancy” brewed coffees because I find they’re generally overhyped and overpriced and somehow always acidic. Not this one! I can’t remember the beans they said they used today, but it’s one of the few coffees I have genuinely enjoyed drinking black. I was lucky they had just brewed it and got the perfect temperature fresh coffee. It was smooth with no acidity and was really pleasantly light but flavorful. As someone who almost always has to balance out badly brewed coffees with cream/milk I was really happy to enjoy this one black!The ladies in there were kind as well and it seemed like a really well run, nice atmosphere, local place. We’re in VA beach once/month and I will certainly be making this a regular stop! I’m looking forward to trying some of the other items over time.Additionally, they are actually open in the winter! A lot of spots here forget to update their Google hours and it’s annoying walking to a place that’s closed, so I was happy they were open when I arrived!“
