A great place! The Boar’s Head hotdog was good and had a distinct snap. The cheeseburger was also very good. Unfortunately, $4 for the cheeseburger I got was kind of expensive. The service was great.

Reasonably priced exceptional hotdogs and sandwiches. There are beers and cakes also. Just a nice little cafe to grab a bite to eat and not feel rushed out the door. The decorations around the walls are a good laugh. I loved eating here, I am just gutted i found it so late in my 3 year posting to Virginia.
I gave this five as it hits the criteria I was looking for. It might not be Michelin starred however it's exactly what you sometimes need. And the awards of best dogs in Virginia beach can't be wrong.

They've been around 40 years and it's easy to see why. Dogs are super flavorful with a great snap, and the fries are perfect: hot, a little crisp outside, soft inside, crinkle cut. Due to recent issues with Boar's Head, they sometimes use a different supplier, but both brands are great.
The lunch rush is super busy, noon-1pm on weekdays plan on maybe having to wait a minute for a table and it gets noisy with that many people. Worth the wait! Best time to go is early bird dinner, you practically get the place to yourself.
