“Wonderful experience“

“My girlfriend and I went out for some fine dining last night at Terrapin, and it did not disappoint!! Our server Allie was a consummate professional, and the GM/sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a well-known fact that fine dining is not cheap, but not only were the prices not all that bad here, but the food quality was exceptional. They also have a special on Tuesdays: 50% off for service industry workers. I found that awesome, remembering where they started from, and making it available to those individuals. We are planning on making this a monthly thing for us. Shrimp tagliatelle for me, black squid ink linguine for her. Our entrees were chicken piccata for me, and she indulged in the roasted duck. For dessert, she selected a seasonal dessert special called It’s The Great Pumpkin, whereas I kept it simple with an affogato w/ French vanilla bean ice cream. 10/10 - would definitely recommend!!“

“Aldo’s is my absolute favorite restaurant! I am a very picky eater. My husband, (boyfriend at the time) , took me to Aldo’s on one of our first dates in 1990. If he was trying to impress me..it worked! Jim, the owner, has been there since the beginning and he is amazing! He has treated us like gold for 34 years now! He has sent wine and dessert over on our anniversary, compliments of the restaurant! He always asks us how everything was and of course, it’s always perfect! I have never had an issue. The atmosphere is incredible, very romantic and relaxing. There is live piano and the wait staff are top notch. Jim only hires the best! They have authentic Italian food that has so much flavor and there is nothing like it! I highly recommend Aldo’s for fine dining and just an overall fabulous experience!“

“Ate here with my family tonight, we were tired of eating fried, overpriced American food. Let me tell you, this place is a hidden gem in Virginia Beach! Prices are excellent for a large family, and the owner and staff are wonderful human beings. Angelo is a top notch chef, we even purchased 2 bottles of their sauce to bring home with us. All 6 of us agreed this was the best food we have ever eaten, we even splurged for desserts. So good!“

“We wanted muffuletta sandwiches on Fat Tuesday so we decided to try Clayton's for lunch! Susan & Shakuria were hustling to take care of their customers, they did a great job ensuring we all were served to the best of their abilities & that we received delicious food & beverages as quickly as they could provide them. They worked well as a team, Susan taking orders & serving and Shakuria cooked all the delicious food!! I had a yummy Muffuletta with Mac & cheese and hubs had fries with his. Their Mac & cheese is crazy good, the best l've had in a restaurant! Susan mixed up a tasty lemon drop martini for me, it's difficult to get a good lemon drop anywhere in the 757 and this one was a favorite! Clayton's has a good selection of $1 beers, yes a can of beer is only $1, so hubs had and local IPA & a PBR! We enjoyed our experience at Clayton's & definitely recommend! If we hadn't been set on having muffulettas I would have ordered their special of the day, a butter burger with fries for $8.99! On Monday I sent Clayton's an email inquiring if they would be serving muffulettas for Fat Tuesday since we live 30 minutes away and received a timely reply from the owner, Ralph Anderson, I was happy to see that they provide great customer service from beginning to end!“

“Went to La Bella for the first time last night with my family. We are from Nj and have high expectations for Italian food. The food was yummy. One of the best Italian places for the area. I would recommend spacing out ordering each course. They brought our meals out 5 minutes after our apps. Our waitress was very nice as well. The atmosphere was nice too. We will eat here again and now know next time to order at a slow rate!!“

“Very good pizza! The medium is LARGE so the large must be VERY LARGE! Great sized salad as well, good to share as a starter or eat as a meal. Only shorted one start because we sat down and it was more like eating in a true pizzeria than I had expected based on research. Staff was really kind and our food came quickly. I would go again!“

“I was expecting gelato but it was ice cream. Came to $19 for 2 large cups of sherbert. I was actually looking for coffee but I didn't see any coffee equipment behind the counter. Just the cold brew coffee dispenser next to the drink fridge, so I was a little disappointed. My son got this banana split dessert and really liked it but it was a little expensive - $15.“

“I went on a Wednesday night around 6:30pm in the winter, so your experience may vary during busier times. We were seated immediately and had a very attentive waiter who clearly knew the menu inside and out. She was a wealth of knowledge and answered all of our questions with confidence. “My friend and I arrived at Reginellas Italian Restaurant around 4:45pm on Feb. 15 2026. Not many customers were present but around 5:15pm customers started arriving and the restaurant started filling up. The take out service also was a constant flow. We were seated by a friendly young gentleman. Almost immediately our waitress came and took our drink order plus gave us a menu. The waitress was Leesa and again another friendly employee. We ask for any suggestions and she told us a few but told us everything was delicious. Then brought us our drinks and a basket of bread with butter. WOW the bread nicely warmed and the butter was at the bottom of the basket so it was spreadable. My friend ordered a chicken sub and I ordered calamari. The presentations of these two items was unbelievable. We both dug right in and they were delicious. The chicken sub had lettuce on it but not plain lettuce. The lettuce was like a seasoned salad and my friend said it made the sandwich so much better than just lettuce. My calamari came with lemons and marinara sauce and the marinara sauce was warm. The calamari was nicely seasoned and so perfectly crisp. Since I left Italy I have never tasted it cooked and seasoned so well. Both portions were so large that we each brought some home for lunch/dinner the next day. The amount we were charged was reasonably priced. If you and your family are hungry and want an exceptionally delicious meal stop by Reginella’s and you won’t regret it or leave hungry.“

“My husband and I stopped by on our way home. We've driven past multiple times, but since we were hungry this time, we figured we could try their pizza. We came in around 2pm and it was pretty quiet, which was nice. Our server Katie grabbed our drinks, took our orders, and was polite and friendly. The fried pickles tasted fresh, briny, and delicious. The pizza was good with a very tasty crust and tomatoey sauce. The cheese and pepperoni were good. I probably wouldn't order sausage on our pizza again as it didn't taste like Italian sausage, but almost tasted like breakfast sausage, being too sweet. The only downside to our meal was the group of servers standing around to loudly gossip in the hallway right next to the dining room. And the group of children that came running out of the game room in the back rattled the entire room, sending our table and booth to shaking. We'll be back to try them again and look forward to the garlic knots we keep seeing mentioned! Food: 3.5 out of 5 Service: 4 out of 5“

“What a gem!! We chose Jimmy G's for our wedding reception. We had a small wedding so we reserved the private room. I cannot say enough about how beautiful the private room was with the big screen TV and warm, welcoming setting. Our waitress even set up a cake table for us. This was a perfect choice!! Now the food, INCREDIBLE!! My God, everything our party ordered was delicious!! We sat for the longest just talking about how good our food was. Our waitress, please forgive me. I don't remember her name but she was so sweet and amazing. During dinner the owner came to meet us and congratulated us as well as guests, staff and the manager were so kind. We were even offered a bottled of Moet by a couple at the bar. We don't drink so we politely declined but the offer alone was a perfect representation of the culture and love that permeates this establishment. We cut our cake and made sure to leave some for the staff. I really hope they enjoyed it as much as we did. Our Jimmy G's experience was the perfect end to the most beautiful and special day of our life.
