Authentic Mexican food the servers were great! The music was abit too loud but its ok the vibe was still amazing!

Las Palmas Mexican 1601 Boardwalk is a small Mexican restaurant right on the beach, so the view is great. The atmosphere is great, with a good ambience that is great for families. The food is great, with all the GREAT taste from other Las Palmas restaurants in the VA Beach area. Specific meals mentioned include the birria quesadilla, fish tacos, biria tacos, the Cevciche tostados, and the tropicolada. The food is great, but the service has been inconsistent. Some reviews note the staff was amazing, everyone was kind, and the service was great, while others mention service was a bit of a mess with confusion between tables, food delivered to the wrong table, and food not all coming out at once. Some employees don’t seem to be happy, and cocktails took forever. They also seemed to be out of just about every draft beer. The restaurant offers complimentary chips and dips, and some fancy margs.
