Was hoping for 5 stars but a bit underwhelmed. Dessert menu was disappointing. Chicken piccata was odd, sauce was not traditional. Pasta was very good but would prefer to have fresh grated cheese at the table. Bread was excellent. Our server was new, very nice, but needed some help on a busy Saturday night
I was in a group of 4. We had a blast. Our server was amazing. She was friendly, joked around with us, made really great food recommendations, and just overall made our dining experience great. The food was fantastic. I have never had tempura mushrooms before and was shocked how flavorful they were. The brisket appetizer was excellent. I had the bone in pork chop and it was really good. We weren't initially planning on getting dessert, but she recommended the rice pudding....
I stopped by Terrapin for happy hour and had a great experience. They offer a daily happy hour, which is a huge plus. The staff were very accommodating and professional, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was excellent — I had the Cacio e Pepe and one of their bruts, and everything was spot on. They also have wonderful specials on their wine bottles. I would absolutely go back again and highly recommend it.
